riotbzwhat I'm saying is these two things are more or less mutual - with one comes the other

Right. Which is why we should but all our effort towards one knowing it will grow the other.

I have been trying to get people to come to teamfortress.tv/the twitch channel but I'm getting mostly negative responses including some guy calling me a scammer or saying TF2 can't go competitive its "hat fortress" now

Do I just not say anything and hope someone asks "hey whats tf.gg"?

There will always be negative responses. But in the end there will always be more positive ones.
I'm 100% certain people have already checked out the site because of people using the tag.
They just don't mention it to whoever was using the tag. The ones that do respond are the few idiots like the 2 you mentioned

If you feel like the tf.gg tag attracts too much negative attention use www.teamfortress.tv or twitch.tv/teamfortresstv
