yeah I'm pretty sure there's an old one of these, but I figured I'd make a new one rather than necro a super dead topic

anyways, I saw tame impala live last night and it was pretty awesome, they had a whole audiovisual thingamajig going on and they played so many of their best songs (many of which are singles so I suppose that helps)

not a ton of innerspeaker if that's your jam but still plenty of lonerism

the setlist, more or less:

Saw Sigma doing a DJ set on Monday night, as well as Nothing But Thieves, who were way better than I'd anticipated!

Nothing But Thieves, for the curious:

went to wild life last weekend, ice cube was the best act on sunday, played a lot of NWA stuff.

Saturday night had Wilkinson and Andy C back to back but I got knocked over mid-set and woke up in to hospital with a concussion.

I saw Tame Impala in February, not usually a fan of arena concerts but their visual effects made it quite good viewing. Some of their songs are quite slow and echoey (feels like we only go backwards for example) which kind of suited being played in a big building.

Setlist was pretty similar.

EDIT: Also remember being pretty mad about solitude is bliss not being played, had no idea why it wasn't.

saw Tame Impala last year in november (along with Mini Mansions (Good shit) and Koi Child), biggest Aus show they've ever had, sounded great, played a very well balanced mix of innerspeaker, lonerism and currents. (setlist is alittle different to the one posted above, seems like they've changed it up to include new person same old mistakes etc)

If anyone is in the NYC/NJ area and interested, The bands Sleep and Battles are playing a free show on the 23rd. Heard there was going to be free beer too so looks awesome
