recently my server browser has been loading my favourites/history/etc lists very, very slowly. Just wondering if anybody has encountered this or has a fix? It's not really a huge problem but it is rather annoying having to wait twenty seconds to select a server. thanks in advance.

I misread things frequently, can't help it.
Back to OP though. I have the same thing happen to me when I get initially get into game. No idea what causes this to happen though.
To add context: have been dealing w/ this for ~1 year now.

i have the same thing going on.
most of the time, the first time searching/refreshing actually goes quicker, but i am unable to join most servers (wtf?).
second search/refresh, it takes fucking ages..

Searching for random servers always load like shit. Favourites seems to be pretty consistent, and history is like on and off.
Not sure why your favourites would load slower though.

Try to go to the Steam overlay -> Settings -> In-Game tab -> Server Browser: Max Pings / Minute

Im bumping this cause i have the same problem and didnt find a solution, Tried the pings/min thing and tried to put clientport 27006 in console (https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/22x6z7/i_found_a_miracle_fix_for_my_server_browser/)

I have the same problem, for me it's my router just blocking the server browser from finding servers after around 140.

clientport 27006-27014 works. The easiest workaround I've found for the issue is just getting the IP of any server you want to join and manually connecting with that. I mostly just mge/dm and go to tftv for connect info.
