Use Dolphin,

google for game + iso.

make sure you own an original copy of the game and only have the iso for backup/archival purposes

For Dolphin, do not use the 4.0.2 version. Instead, use the latest development versions as they contain many new features and improvements from the past two years.

We're getting near the end of the road for 5.0 release, so be on the lookout for that.

For Wild World, I believe the DS emulator people use is DeSmuME.

For the GC and Wii versions, Dolphin is your only option (and it's a good one).

Citra can play New Leaf, but not well. You're better off going with an older game or playing it on the 3DS.

City Folk would be my go-to. Basically a straight upgrade over the original. Emulates very well with Dolphin.
