My support ticket word-for-word:

Hey,

So this is the second time I've been banned from the ESEA network for what I assume to be "Ban Evasion".
As you said last time, the safety of my account is of my own concern and not of yours. But, there is literally no way around this. I have changed every password for every account I own and changed their associated email addresses as well. The problem is that ESEA ties bans with a user's IP address and previous ban, so whenever a "banned player" logins to a non-banned players account, that account and every account it is associated with is also banned.

What happened was, over a year ago, I downloaded Counter-strike: source hud off a user's youtube page "hyphen GUI" which contained a rat capable of stealing my person identification; usernames and passwords included. A few users did the same, most notifiable for me was memrawd as he too is a TF2 player. The user who had placed the rat in the hud then got banned off of ESEA for some reason and decided that he would take a few users with him, he used to the passwords and usernames he gained off of the rat to ban users for "ban evasion", taking me for five months and twenty-eight dollars. Along with me was Memrawd( who decided it would be better to create a new account and thus add on to the length of his ban time,), and another CSS player who does not play anymore after his ban. There are a few others, most notably European players. Although, I am unable to identify who they are as no information had been given to me.

The reason I know all this information is that the user who helped the user get me banned contacted me the following week to "help" me, he too is a TF2 player under the alias "Shifty" who may also be banned from ESEA.
Then the player himself who banned me contacted me on steam to mock me.

Please, change the way your system works. And please unban me, this is absolutely not my fault, I had no way to fix this problem, it's out of my hands. This is not only my problem, but the problem of the others who had been banned.

Because ESEA also bans by IP, so when a user logins to your account, it becomes associated with that IP address. He got me banned since he was still banned off of ESEA. So by logging into a non-banned account, he got me and everyone who associates his IP with their account, banned.

I hope you get unbanned, man.

Also, since he logged into your account, does that mean your IP is also banned? I understand that his IP is banned, therefore any account he logs into gets banned. However, couldn't you just make a new account, considering he didn't log into that new account, or is it a constant spread of banned IPs?

Naw, my IP is banned as well, as well as anyones who tries to login to a banned account, if I made a new account, I would just get another banned account, and may even lengthen the ban of my preexisting ban.

Looks like you'll have to move to a different location to continue your competitive gaming career, l0l.

maybe, maybe not. That's why I linked him to that company. They have 100's of outs in the US alone, so just get one near your house. I think mine goes from 40ish to 60ish. Yeah, it's a jump but at least he could play in the meantime

You guys don't get it. The other guy, who got him banned, doesn't have access to his account anymore, but can still get him banned by accessing other banned accounts, because this other guy's IP is considered to be this here guy, and when that other guy logs onto another banned account it rebans the accounts his IP is connected to. Spot the problem.

My ping is already bad, and I dont have enough money to make a new account. I was lucky enough for Zigzter and Radium to pay my fees, but it wont happen again. Besides, ESEA only bans AFTER you pay for premium so they can make more money, and I dont want to exploit the system despite it literally fucking me.

Yeah, exactly the problem, and ESEA doesnt want to fix it either.

I don't know how it works in NA, but can't you call your ISP and request a new IP somehow?

I've never done it but my understanding is that it's not that hard to change your IP. like, just unplugging your modem for five minutes (or overnight) should do it.

Keep in mind that would be necessary to format your computer too, because esea's client may identify you by HWID.

I think everyone understands that, but it's more of a thing of "well, how really fucked are you?" sort of thing in terms of getting around his issue. Hopefully ESEA removes any association from Swatt to that other guy through IP and accounts, etc.

procyonKeep in mind that would be necessary to format your computer too, because esea's client may identify you by HWID.

I tried to provide my HWID on my previous ban, they wouldnt accept it as proof. I also dont wish to change my IP address as it would make me guilty in ESEA'd eyes. Oh, they also havent replied to my last response which probably means theyve stopped caring.

Honestly, they likely aren't going to change their policies since they almost never do. You might as well dispute the charge via paypal since you did not get what you paid for, they will refund it. Yes, you will get banned for longer but at least you get your money back. If you feel like nothing is going to happen and you will just continue to get banned, this is better than giving them your money.

It wasnt my money, and Ive given Zigzter permission to refund it, but that may get him banned, so im just gonna buy him poutine to make up for it. I dont even think Radium knows yet, fuck.

Anyways, my phones gonna die and i still need to call my dealer, so ill stop responding for a while, later.

But Radium paid for his league fees and I paid for (thankfully only 1 month) premium.

That would work too, I think I told someone to do this a long time ago (gotfrag days)
Basically, they are never going to send someone out to your state to defend their case and more than likely they will just award you the case since they will not show up. If you plan on doing this make sure you go for the full amount of money that you paid over the years and got nothing to show for it. The cost is usually 40 bucks

Honestly, you'll probably need to go unnoticed with this ban lifting, considering other people who want their bans lifted on different accounts will say "Well, look at this! This Swatt guy got unbanned, why can't I?"
