I know the chances might be slim but..

Does anyone know of any good ISPs that provide a decent upload speed in the Kitchener-Waterloo area? Currently with Execulink (DSL), which is supposed to be 6down/1up. I generally 2-4down, and 0.2-0.6 up.

I've spent a lot of time looking around, so hopefully there is something I've missed. Teksavvy only offers 1up here. Rogers has the speed, but the bandwidth caps are retarded. My family uses 200GB+ of bandwidth each month (which is likely the cause of my frequent shitter-than-usual speeds).

Anyone from around here ever found anything, or is it simply not possible to get good internet here?

edit:had some ups and downs backwards woops

I live in Barrie but you got a couple options, you could get Teksavvy for the bandwidth but then you would be losing decent speeds or you can get Rogers and get half decent speeds like 2Mpbs up and get an 80GB cap BUT Rogers maxes out at $50 I believe for going over the caps. With that being said Rogers could possibly just up your bandwidth usage without changing the plan therefore just adding the cost of the bandwidth increase on top of your plan. And in Ontario getting "simply good internet" is impossible without some sort of government underlying corruption.

Yeah those speeds are god awful either way lol. But if you want decent internet in Ontario off of my experiences you're best off with Rogers (overpriced) for the speed or Teksavvy for the bandwidth but you'll get better speeds than what you currently have depending on what they offer in your area.

If you live outside of Toronto, good fucking luck. Although rogers is laying out more connections, they still throttle like no tomorrow.

Rogers stopped throttling quite a while ago.
If you feel you're throttled you're probably just confused or a family member is probably torrenting.
