Hello teamfortress.tv!

I recently threw together a "competitive tf2 starter pack" for a friend, and I figured it could help quite a bit if shared with a lot more people.

I'd like to apologize if this post violates any rules, and if it does please remove it and PM me. This is my first post on teamfortress.tv and I've read the rules and guidelines but I'm still prone to mistakes.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So let me explain what this is. I threw together a .zip file containing configs, mods, links, and tons of helpful information related to competitive TF2. Inside are a class.cfg config for every class, a baseline autoexec.cfg file, the cleaner medibeam mod, the Quake 3 Arena hitsound, a folder of competitive streams TF2 streams, a folder of competitive tf2 sites and leagues, as well as detailed README files and a link to my "centralized" cfg thread.

The reason I feel this will be helpful is I don't know of an "easy access" type of starter pack for competitive TF2, most players have to scrounge around for the info they need. I tried to put a good chunk of it in one place here for easy access and reference.

I wish valve would do something like this- about graphics configs, custom huds, and FOV_DESIRED 90

It'll work just fine where it's intended. Lobbies, scrims, and matches.

In the tf2banana page it says it doesn't work in sv_pure 2. Don't most competitive servers run it?

I added the tftv stream directory to the Competitive Streams folder. I'll upload the new .zip (and change the download links) once I add medic radar and alternate interp/lerp settings.

Yes I was mistaken about that. I rarely play medic or engie outside of pubs, where I know it doesn't work, so I don't really have a reason to focus on the medibeam itself, except for demo playback (where it shows). I'm usually watching my surroundings like a hawk for spies or spam. That said, I'll still leave it in because it causes no conflicts and will be helpful on servers where it works, not to mention installing it is entirely optional.
