I just got on today after updating steam to play my scrim. When I started to warm up i noticed mouse sensitivity went up by a lot, felt like it had acceleration on, and became super jitter/jumpy/inaccurate when moving my character. This only started a couple hours ago. Other games like CS:GO and even Minecraft worked, as well as my normal in browser/windows sensitivity. I've verified my files, did a fresh install, exited out of steam, and restarted my computer. None of them worked. To anyone one willing to tell me the problem and/or help me fix it thank you!

Not even just that, It straight upped my sensitivity, and makes it super inaccurate when moving around in game(like a uneven surface or unresponsive mouse. Its like tf2 got Parkinson's

  • Check you have accel off (dumb thing for me to say but never hurts to say it)
  • Check your fps, and also your fps_max setting
  • Does this happen in every server? Or just pub, and works fine in a local server? This correlates somewhat with the above point

I lock my fps at 120, chris's config.
It's off in the settings.

This might be cause mouse and something else share usb ports. I had same issue with headset and mouse, only when running mumble though.

What do you mean by that? I've tried using a different port and it doesnt work. Maybe its a program?

Do you have another mouse on standby, and can test to see if it occurs with that? Process of elimination!

make sure raw input is on, m_filter 0, sensitivity set to normal number, m_customaccel 0, m_customaccel_exponent 1, m_pitch/m_yaw 0.022? try removing your config and using -autoconfig or whatever the default tf2 launch option is? sounds like a weird issue

I've tried what you said and it has made no difference. I've seen one other post about this inconsistent sensitivity yesterday, which is the time i got the issue. It makes be believe this is on Valve's end not mine.
