Hey there! I recently uploaded a new tf2 jump video called sky ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYzWW6Wtbvs ), and would like some feedback. I'm very open to criticism and have a great drive to try to get better at editing, this looks like the right place to ask. :) Thank you!

I'm sorry if this post violates the forum rules in your opinion, please inform me.

Good day~

True, I'm just getting what I can basically, if there's a source for tf2 jump demos other than having good jumpers as friends, feel free to tell me ^^

I enjoyed that video! I really like that they are on maps that are known for being played competitively, it's quite inspiring actually.
As for neon_ I don't care too much for the "the jumps arent that good" comment.
It is what it is, and I've been playing for 3 years and can't do a lot of those jumps, one admires those who have such passion for rocket jumping and video making, I'm incapable of doing either! Keep up the good work, I look forward to your next video!

Cheers

I don't understand why you put in the clip at 1:30, unless I'm mistaken you're just doing the last jump on eons (an easy soldier map) the way it's intended to be done.
As for the edit overall I enjoyed it, the HLAE smooths were for the most part pretty good and I liked he music. As others have said the difficulty/creativity on the jumps was kind of lacking, but it's understandable since it's your second movie. Another thing I should mention is that the custom explosion particles (ex 1:14) were a little bit too flashy for my liking, they can become much less of an eye sore if you use motion blur (either using srcdemo or some sort of frame blending in vegas, don't believe in game motion blur affects it)

If I remember correctly, tf2rjweekly posted demo download links to some of their older runs (or casual's first TAS runs at least). If you need editing practice that may be useful, but it's probably not worth it to make an entire movie out of already-used clips. The easier option is to just make a jump democall thread and hope people will submit stuff.

GL man, you definitely have potential as a video maker, just keep at it.

Hey bearodactyl, thank you for your reply :) I'll definitely start using srcdemo for the next video, seems like another big step forward in respect to quality. +i'll get some demos from the IIRC/ask for some clips from the community, thank you so much for your help :) it really does mean alot. ^^
