I'm trying to move the item panel (+inspect command) in spectate mode. For some reason nothing happens, I can't customize it. Changing ypos of itempanel does nothing (/resource/ui/Spectator.res). I can, however, move and resize itempanel in HudInspectPanel.res, which works perfectly. The reason I wanna move the panel is that it is overlapping my net_graph text.

Do any of you know how to fix this?

Thanks

The ones in spectator can't be moved if I remember correctly

rayshud v2015.8.27 has been released!

This update should fix all the trade up contract bugs, as well as fix a few other issues that have been bugging me for awhile. Nothing too special, but you should be able to use trade up on my HUD with no issues now.

NOTE: This update does not have support for the new PASS time game mode. This is because its still in beta and constantly is changing (including the HUD used for it). Once it's removed from a beta state and is more finalized, I'll add a prettier looking UI for it assuming there's enough interest.

This version includes the following changes:

- Fixed the scoreboard to prevent ping from being cut off at 4x3 resolutions.
- Fixed the scoreboard colors changing to a lime green on a stats panel.
- Fixed the item inspect panel getting cut off on the right hand side in kill-cams.
- Added new items to the promotional cycle on the main menu.

You can download the update here:

I'm still getting the lime-green numbers on my scoreboard with the August 27th. version. Is there a hud file I need to modify to fix it?

Also, is it possible to get the Broesel Cross player health to work in minmode?

Try this version and see if it works:

https://github.com/raysfire/rayshud/archive/e259cbb815ce1465506670a8c1a98cb44e82b2ab.zip

As for the broesel cross, you could get the file from the normal version and put it in minmode if you want. The reason there's not a minmode one is because I tried to make it and determined it was too small to be readable.

Lately I've just been looking at the Git and checking the parts he updates and add them myself.

I do this by going to the commit log and finding what he changed.

https://github.com/raysfire/rayshud/commits/master

It's pretty easy because you just add what is in green and remove what is in red. A lot of files I end up replacing if I've never edited them before.

Is there a way to get back the "On the bright side, you have ___ than your last life!" or something like that? I'm not sure but I think it is related to FreezePanel but I do not know how to (and which one) add it myself.

Okay so, I unzipped the files into tf>costum>Rayshud
However the hud did not show up in game and I can't find how to change crosshairs. I'm a nub at this stuff so pls.

I would just like a step by step thing of what to do (Btw I would like to also know how to get the circle with the dot.)

rayshud v2015.10.6 has been released!

This update isn't technically mandatory. All it does is edit the main menu and quickplay menus to support Invasion and remove traces of Gun Mettle, but I figured I'd throw it out there anyways.

Also, I know the green scoreboard isn't totally finished, but I'm in the process of re-designing the scoreboard altogether so I might potentially just finish that up and release the new scoreboard alongside the fix. Sorry for the inconvenience!

This version includes the following changes:

- Removed traces of Gun Mettle on the main menu; added in support for Invasion.
- Added in an Invasion splash screen image on the quickplay dialogue to reflect the new update.

You can download it here:

or via the installer by Tree here:

Hey guys.

It's been quite a while since anything more than quick patches have been released to the HUD, and last night I had a revelation. For the longest time I wanted to do this big "overhaul" update that included all sorts of new stuff (including an updated installer), but work on the installer has been slow, and school and my own stream have been keeping me really busy the past few months to the point where I either haven't had the time or the desire to work on it.

Sounds like a retirement message, huh? Well..

Think again.

Back in June of this year I re-did most of the main menu, started re-doing the tournament spectator HUD, switched over the main HUD font to a more aesthetically pleasing Cerbetica, and added in a new loading screen. They were all going to be packaged up with a new scoreboard, re-designed menus, and more HUD crosshairs. But why make you guys wait? I've been sitting on some of this stuff for literally months, and instead of letting it gather dust in my tf folder, I figured I should share it with the rest of the world.

While I'm not entirely done, I think it's only fair to show you all what I have done at the moment, my plans for the future, and how you can help shape those plans. I want to be as transparent as possible.

Without further ado, here's the new main menu and loading screen:

http://puu.sh/kETgb/4193bd7805.jpg

http://puu.sh/kEThM/9f218ec5bc.jpg

and here's the new default font (it's been around for awhile, but most people don't know about it):

Left: old font (cut off 6s and 9s), right: new font (rounded 6s and 9s)

http://puu.sh/kETXB/3d509d4244.png

While none of this is out yet, I plan to release all of this in small pieces in a transition process, rather a full overhaul. You can expect all this new stuff in addition to a potential new scoreboard (which will eliminate 4x3 resolution conflicts hopefully) as early as this weekend. The tournament spectator HUD, new crosshairs and re-done menus will probably take a bit, but this will allow you guys to help me find the bugs in this stuff sooner rather than if I had just dumped a million new things on you all at once.

How can you help?

Because I want to be transparent as possible during this whole process and give you guys the best possible product I can, I'd like to get some feedback. This can be in any form really, just something constructive and more than "I don't like this". It gives me a starting point and can help me form ideas as to what I can improve upon, things that I might want to do differently, etc. However, do keep in mind that if I feel it wouldn't benefit the majority of users it might not be added/changed.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to this new chapter in the life of the HUD and I'm really quite flattered that as many of you still use it as you do!

Thanks again!

oblaholy shit that looks good

Originally I was going to have a dark and light theme and have it so you could choose your theme in the installer and go with it that way, but I figured that'd be slow and take me quite awhile to prepare for a release, so I wanted to come up with a decent middle ground for the time being. Here are the two other background I had originally used:

http://puu.sh/iyVqT/9a085de185.jpg

http://puu.sh/iz11y/8c7af9f321.jpg

I might still do something with them, even if it's just throwing them in the materials folder and telling people to rename the files if they want to use them, but for the time being and the initial release I think I'll stick with the current background for now since it's a good middle ground in my opinion.

Freeze cam / Death cam weapon issue.
It doesn't show the correct weapon of the player who killed me.

How can I fix this (without pressing +inspect bind) ?

EDIT: Feedback / Suggestion for good old Rays.

1. Leaving the gaps between some lines in the main menu makes it less stuffy and much easier to click on. That's my opinion.
2. Those background images are AWESOME!!
3. Cyan color - make something about it, please. Not everyone enjoys it. Chage it to a non-color (white) or a basic color.

Hey, I was curious how I'd go about using the custom crosshairs in a bind switcher? Like bind "mouse1" "scatter; crosshair (x)"

Also, I tried enabling and switching to a crosshair w/ the console, and it just gave me missing textures. Help?

The custom crosshairs are part of the hud, it requires a hud reload to change them so they're not really suitable to changing on weapon change.

NokkSpufor some reason rayshud decided to switch from the default 16v16 scoreboard to the 6v6 one. cl_minmode is apparently an unknown command in console and autoexec. How can I switch it back to the 16v16 scoreboard?
The command is cl_hud minmode. There's also a Scoreboard Toggle button on the main menu.

thanks
