MS WMO 1.1a replacement?

I was just wondering what would be a good mouse replacement that is near the size of my WMO. Its starting to wear and I'm looking for something new. Isn't the Razer DA about the same size & shape? I have no personal experience with Logitech or other brands, so any help here could be appreciated.

edit: What I'm looking for:

-larger mouse (I have large hands)
-firm click, or maybe one with a little resistance? Not sure how to describe
-More than 2 buttons, but it doesn't have to have alot

I use more of a claw/palm grip.

I'll take a look at the steelseries models. I'm not sure what I'm looking for or how to describe it, but I'd like to have a different kind of action when I click. It feels flat.

IIRC kana has accel. AM, EC1 or EC2 EvO. Also, the new DA is coming out soonish.

Yeah I keep coming back to a DA. I've also read that many SteelSeries models have negative accel issues with the sensor.

I'm looking to find something with a firm click feeling to it, and a good size because I have a large palm. I hear that Logitech mice have a click that has a feel like a mechanical keyboard, for lack of a better way to describe it.

while I agree in some ways, I'd also like something a bit heavier. After some comparison, the G500 seems to be good for size/weight/"click".

The zowie am, or the steel series xai are probably the closest as far as shape/size goes to the WMO that you are going to find.

the g500 has positive acceleration, also it's best for regular grip

MIndIIRC kana has accel. AM, EC1 or EC2 EvO,

Zowie makes great mice. I've got the EC2 eVo and love it, though it's meant for a claw grip. If you're looking for something similar to a WMO then try the AM or EC1 eVo.

I narrowed it down to the Zowie EC1, Razer DA, Logitech G500 or a MS Intellimouse Explorer (basically the MWO with side buttons). Thoughts?

Zowie AM for its reputation, size, buttons I need.

Razer DA for the same, but I worry about its negative issues I've seen about them (build quality, side buttons wearing out, customer support).

G500 for its size- but I don't need 8 buttons necessarily and I've wondered how easily the thumb buttons are used. (Any users out there?)

MS IME: Its basically what I have now +2 side buttons which is alright by me. I've had nothing but good things from the WMO, even though my thumb & pinky seem to always be rubbing the mat.

i used the wmo for like 5 years and then went to the 3.0 for nearly a year (thanks to disengage for sending it to me when my wmo was failing me).

zowie am is what i moved to recently. It is a tad smaller and lighter than i thought it would be but id easily recommend it as something to make the swap to. Only issue i have with it is the ambidextrous m4 and m5.

Do you find yourself hitting the buttons on the other side a lot? Would you have rather gone with an ec1 instead?

DrakeMegrimDo you find yourself hitting the buttons on the other side a lot? Would you have rather gone with an ec1 instead?

initially i would hit them and kind of freeze as if i clicked shit i shouldn't have, lol, which threw me off for like 20 mins and then i got used to it (buttons don't have a function since it only allows one side to be active at a time)

i'll click them from time to time still but i generally don't notice nearly as much

its comfortable and i like the feel it has with my Puretrak Stealth mouse pad.

took me a while to find a sensitivity though.

edit: sorry- thread highjack

Trying to find an IME 3.0 as I haven't used one for years and really liked them. Anyone know of any online stores or whatever that sell them? Can only find a few on eBay but they seem "questionable" at best.

that's probably about all you're going to find. I'd like one myself, but they are discontinued as far as I know.

Yeah, really the only ones left that aren't questionable are the "new in box" ones, and even then you're proably going to pay $60-70 for it.
