my puretrak talent gets really hard to use in the summer months when its hot and humid. its really hard to slide my mouse and arm/wrist around, sorta feels like im using a rubber mousepad and its really frustrating.

would washing it help? its like 3 or 4 years old lmao.

the problem isnt my mouse - tried it with my abyssus, deathadder, g400, and fk. they all feet the same. replacing my stock feet on my deathadder with hyperglides didnt really help at all.

whats a good mousepad that is similar in size and texture to the talent that i could try instead? (other than a qck+)

thanks in advance gamer bros!

The problem is probably your arm/wrist being more sweaty than usual so it sticks to your mousepad more and thus makes moving your mouse around harder, especially if you're playing with a low sens. Having something like a piece of cloth between your arm and the mousepad would most likely help decrease the friction and make moving the mouse easier. Alternatively, wear a longsleeve shirt and sweat your ass off

going to try this tomorrow, i feel like was a combination of a greasy mousepad and a sweaty arm that was causing the sticky, grippy feeling. thanks man!

cleaning your pad + arm will help, but in hot weather it won't take too long before the friction starts to increase again. so i guess Khan's suggestion is ultimately the best one, as long as you can find something that works well for you.

I remember telling you what I was looking for in a mousepad and asking you which one you've used that would suit me the best and you told me to get a g-tf rough, gonna pick one up soon and see how it stacks up. Thanks brother.

rough or speed.
speed is more comfortable, rough prolly lasts longer and slightly less friction (both are way faster than talent)
they are very similar
