NvidiaInspector LOD Bias not working

Hi, I've been trying to sort out the LOD bias in Nvidia Inspector for a while now. I've looked at all the forums I could find, and tried everything I have seen, but the LOD bias does not take effect in the game. I would appreciate it if anyone could be of assistance. Here are my settings:

Thanks in advance.

You either need to run an old version of inspector OR change the supersampling to 2x

export your tf2 profile by clicking this icon

http://i.imgur.com/OPE0Qho.jpg

and then "export your current profile" to desktop

right click the exported profile, "open as" and select a text editing program(notepad)

then ctrl+f and paste this

<SettingID>7573135

you'll likely find this

SettingID:7573135
SettingValue: YOURDESIREDVALUE * 8

so, if you want a LOD of 10, you'll put 80 in the setting value. 15 would be 120

then save the exported profile, open nvidia inspector, go to tf2, click on import profile (an icon next to the export profile), save and gg.

If you would like to avoid having to export and import your profile each time you change it, this lets you change LOD bias through the GUI.

that problem is most likely on your end because if you do all the steps correctly, 99,9% chance it's gonna be there.

i just looked in the profiles that already existed and picked tf2, should I just make my own?

nope. any profile will have that settingID

make sure you're using the latest version if you want to do the way i posted.

make sure your antialiasing - transparency supersampling is set to AA_MODE_REPLAY_MODE_ALL

export the current profile, open it on notepad++, make sure your ctrl+f has <SettingID>7573135

if it's still not there, then there could be plethora of variables that could be interfering. be it the program, your computer, gpu, etc...

Set your antialiasing - transparency supersampling to AA_MODE_REPLAY_MODE_ALL
Then set the texture filtering - LOD bias (DX) to 0x00000078

wat u doing matlock? this question was already answered long ango

also, 0x000000078 isn't a LOD value. it's the value you get when you edit the LOD Bias in the profile itself, with a text editing program
you cannot set 0x000000078 on the nvidia inspector.

also remember you need to have mat_mipmaptextures set to 1 in-game

Does the command AA_MODE_REPLAY_MODE_ALL in your antialiasing - transparency supersampling change your fps? (Like reduce or increase your fps in game)

So if I set LOD to something like -15 to improve textures instead, I won't get decreased fps?

I've never heard of using this tool to improve textures tbh, can't really help you there but I doubt setting a negative LOD value will have any effect on your textures.

GhoovyI know that LOD bias doesn't change your fps, but i dont know why when i have it, i feel my aim different in game.

Can't really help here, sorry, imo it's just placebo.

You'll just get horrible texture aliasing.
