Saw some people liked Hip-Hop here and thought I'd share something you could not see otherwise even if medium is not the best.

JIMEK's orchestrated definition of hip-hop was the last encore after two symphonic concerts with NOSPR and Miuosh. Recorded at the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra Concert Hall, on March 6th & 7th 2015 in Katowice, Poland | Orchestrated and conducted by JIMEK (Radzimir Dębski) | Performed by NOSPR - Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra
Edited mostly from videos recorded by fans.

Artists
JIMEK
NOSPR
drums: Manolo & Wojciech Sobura

Author's comment:

never thought something I did for the love of the music that brought me up would get to this big. Thank you everyone that helped spread the word!! I know I didn't do ALL of the history of Hip-Hop, or everybody's complete lists, I did miss many greats - but these I wrote down by heart, no research, just beats that changed the game for me. (And YES - of course I did Harlem Shake just because it was f***king impossible to orchestrate!!) Let me know what tracks would you add?? would love to do that someday. JIMEK

And here's songs

1. Kendrick Lamar - Swimming Pools
2. M.I.A. - Bad Girls
3. Wiz Khalifa - Black and Yellow

I like hip hop but I did not like this. It veers very close to crossing the line from celebration to parody.

I don't think the artists included see it like this. M.O.P. at the very least rates this: https://www.facebook.com/Theofficialmop/videos/vb.121456057461/10153004336182462/

Dear Mama and Basketball Jones were pretty good, felt like they kind of butchered Electric Relaxation though

it definitely isnt as bad as those white people who do acoustic covers of rap songs and the comments are full of "MAN IF RAP SOUNDED LIKE THIS... MAN........."

They are white too, but it's worth pointing out that we have the entire generation raised on Hip-Hop and all rappers here are white (at least the ones I know) so it's not a synonym of being a wannabe hipster here.
Best selling guy got here like 850,000 copies and that's bought legally in the store in a 30 something million country when piracy was massive.

Something cool that seems to happen with hip hop songs done with a formal orchestra is it works a lot better for dancing styles that aren't strictly hip hop. I think this has a lot of potential to get sucked up by that community
