I saw quite the lack of hopping into mechs and what looks like some augmented witchcraft that they never bothered to explain afaik. How is this anything like Titanfall?

The ground combat of Titanfall is all about wallrunning, and the wallrunning in this game looks very similar to Titanfall's. Advanced Warfare isn't much like Titanfall because it is about jumping rather than wallrunning, but Black Ops 3 looks exactly like Titanfall's wallrunning to me. Also it's a call of duty game, there will undoubtedly be some killstreaks many of which will probably function similarly to Titanfall's Titans.

I'm gonna have to rewatch whatever BO3 trailer necessary, because I only saw AW-esque air movement; no wall running. I can't disagree with your killstreak/pointstreak statement, as it would be of no surprise to me that they'd eventually introduce some power armor protection type kill/pointstreak to the equation, but this in no way has anything to do with TF still.

deetrHoly shit this looks fucking amazing. It looks like real life. Hopefully this game doesn't get the Watch Dogs treatment on graphics, would be awesome to see this on PC. At first I was like damn this is a shitty Battlefield reskin but then they go outside. Holy shit.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXU5k4U8x20

yes but theyre going to completely ruin the game im afraid. this game will be nothing like battlefront 2 which is a shame.

*fingers crossed they don't.

When was that last time a game was a 10 in your minds? I don't see a single game at E3 that I said has to be the greatest game ever. In my mind there's only 3 games I can give 10s for in my entire gaming career - CSGO, far cry 3, and Modern Warfare 2 honestly

AvastMODERN WARFARE 2 WAS A 10 FOR YOU AND NOT A SINGLE GOOD RPG ????????

It's completely possible he just doesn't like RPGs. All he was saying is that he didn't really see any games that he liked, he wasn't saying you aren't allowed to like the games that were shown. I personally have hated every RPG I've played but I can still see the fun of playing one and the value the genre brings to the table. His criteria for a 10 seem to be that he can play a game for a long time and not get bored, and many RPGs simply cannot offer that. Even if hundreds of thousands of man hours were spent crafting the world to perfection and the gameplay was divine, there are still a limited number of things for you to do. Even with procedural generation like Morrowind had, it is really hard to write an algorithm that can generate more than terrain and enemies. Multiplayer games will always reign supreme in terms of hours you can invest simply because of the fact that the skill ceiling is so high, and if your criteria for a great game is that you can play it a long time then single player games simply cannot compete with multiplayer ones.

FO4 looks cool and all but the game I'm really excited for is the next Mirror's Edge. The original is probably one of my 5 favorite games of the last decade. I was a little concerned when I heard they were overhauling the combat, because I liked the fact that the combat was bad. It encouraged players to figure out ways to avoid it (and, with one, maybe two, glaring exceptions, it was always possible to avoid a fight). I'm a little disappointed they removed guns entirely, I liked the fact that they were an option, but a bad option. The fact that you had a choice to use guns, but that it was usually a poor one really seemed to fit with Faith's character design. I'm not too bummed though, it's far better than putting emphasis on guns. I'm excited to see how the open world design pans out. The original ME levels were tight and satisfying, I'm hoping that DICE has been working on this for the last 6 years and will be able to create an open world that can create such a beautiful feeling of momentum and flow as the original linear pieces. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I know this is an opinion and everything but holyshit this list

Have you ever played games like Half-Lifes, Chrono Trigger, Zeldas, The Witchers, Portals, Banjo-Kazooie, Mass Effects 1 and 2... I don't know, but, any actually really good game ever?

And about E3, the only thing that got me really excited so far was the new South Park game. And I really hope the new Doom delivers.

Just thought I would put it out there that he isn't alone. I have played all of those games and did not like any of them except Portal 1. I also know that most of my irl friends do not enjoy single player games much either. Only single player games I've ever enjoyed were oldschool platformers and Bioshock Infinite

This E3 has officially broken me. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Fallout 4, FF7 Remake, Mirror's Edge Catalyst, and The Last Guardian together? -- legendary. I'm mostly excited for DXMD, and Mirror's Edge, but there's so much awesome that my brain is melting.

I've been freaking out that I woke up early enough and didn't "forget" to watch the Deus Ex stream, because I thought it was at 10am EST instead of 10am PST, for some reason.

Edit: guess I forgot Star Wars Battlefront as well- don't even care that it's a Battlefield clone.

Ok, I'm going to say it, I'm sorry but your opinion is wrong.

It doesn't make sense someone liking every COD yearly rehash (sorry, I checked your steam profile) while disliking classic and modern great games. It's like disliking movies like Godfather, Good Will Hunting, Bourne trilogy... while giving Transformers' franchise a 10/10.

I know opinions are like asses, everyone has one, but god damn if some opinions aren't dumb. How the hell are csgo, farcry and mw2 the best games you have ever played? Did u start gaming 2 years ago? Do you only buy Triple A titles?... CSGO is a great game I'll give it that but 99% of that game is built around the competitive scene and community, without it, it's nothing, you probably don't remember when it first came out that it even struggled to stay relevant compared to its predecessors, 1.6 and source.

Rome 1 / Medieval 2: Total War, Bioshock, Red Alert and Red Alert 2, Fallout 3, Rise of Nations, Age of Empires, RTCW and ET, TES: Oblivion, Sim City 4, F.E.A.R., hell even SWAT 4, I could go on forever but any of these games revolutionized the industry and defined their genre more than any of the games you listed ever will. and some of them still hold on very well to this day and have aged beautifully despite being 10-15 years old.

Also you mentioned COD and failed to mention the most important and defining games of the series which are Cod2 and MW1, which are the staple fps's of its time, unlike every single COD after that.

you think i knew i was gonna sink thousands of hours into TF2 before i got it? (mind you tf2 is not a perfect 10)

Dark Souls 3, Street Fighter V and The Last Guardian are pretty much the only games I care about atm, but Cuphead for XBONE actually looks sick

edit: mind you i dont really care for any games on any of these lists either...

Nintendo dropped the ball really hard. Amiibo isn't a sustainable market if they don't make ACTUAL FUCKING GAMES. Star Fox looked slow, the Metroid Prime 3DS game was a complete and utter letdown. Threw the WiiU under the bus pretty much.

I honestly don't expect much out of Nintendo at all until Project NX comes to light. Even then, Nintendo hasn't really been relevant for years, so that might not even work out.
