haven't seen this posted anywhere but it's helped me out a lot with buffering streams, give it a shot if your internet should be able to handle streams but they keep loading

Couldn't you at least have put in a little bit of effort into making this thread?
That's the laziest OP I've ever seen.

I've been using Tardsplaya for about 2 months so far because twitch throttled their upload speeds to me.
Using Tardsplaya to stream twitch streams straight into Media Player Classic works much better than streaming it through a browser with flashplayer.

I can confirm that it is legit and works really well.

Also in case you didn't figure it out on your own, the grammar mistakes are intentional.
Hence the name Tardsplaya.

I have 100mbps down but twitch capped the dl speed to ~30kbps when watching less popular streams through my browser.
When I watch the same streams on Media Player Classic through tardsplaya it works flawlessly though.

This video is linked in the reddit post already but incase you only went to the website and immediately disputed everything about the program because it looks like a joke; you can watch this guy properly explain the entire thing and how to use it.

Can confirm, pretty much every stream I watch is laggy if I do it through a browser (doesn't matter which), with this, it's pretty much nonexistent. I actually found out about it through a thread on tftv though, so it has in fact been posted before!

Can confirm this program is incredible, gliss linked me this a while back because my twitch buffered all the time on dota streams, never been dissapointed.

I'm on FiOS in Southern California and Verizon throttles twitch, among other websites. On my laptop, it's particularly bad, even through VPNs to the point of needing to crank down quality options to Medium (large streams included).

Downloaded this today, loaded up a CS stream and it ran gloriously at Source quality even through my VPN. It's been years since I used Media Player Classic, but I've been looking for a reason to switch over. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try if you're having issues with getting throttled by your ISP.

Only downside is no chat. I like having chat side-by-side with the stream all in one window, taking up as much space as possible. Popping out chat and resizing the video/chat are solutions to this, but it gets frustrating when you're swapping between multiple windows.

for the chat solution, I use IRC. it lets me auto-connect, prevents me from seeing idiotic smileys / emotes / whatever the kappa thing is

most people are using IRC for scrims still so there's not much extra you have to do

it lets me auto-connect to whatever channels I want so I can see when people are streaming (since I don't use the twitch website itself very often)

Doesn't Livestreamer do the same thing, or am I mistaken?
