Definitely going to echo marxist's advice. Some of my closest friends are people I met through this game and now that they've started to move on I find it really difficult to muster the motivation to play. Branch out. Meet people. There are a ton of awesome people in this community. You just have to put yourself out there.

Hey. I'm also new to competitive, in fact, I've only played a few lobbies. The people in this thread are saying you need to make friends, and why not start making friends with people who also want to join the scene? Add me if you like we can play some tomorrow. (I only get an hour a day though. Parents are weird.)
