What are some of the best CRT's for gaming. I unfortunately can't find a Sony G520 so I want to know what else is good that's out there.

Sony GDM-FW900 has got to be the best CRT, though there are also a lot of other good ones out there, just keep an eye on craigslist and check the horizontal scanning frequency (kHz) of the ones available, most CRT monitors are pretty solid unless you want to have a good refresh rate on high resolutions, then you should look for certain specifications.

I have a Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 930sb which has a horizontal scanning frequency of 110kHz, and I use 1024x768 res @ 120hz, basically look out for the kHz, assuming you are looking for a CRT to get a better refresh rate and don't want to spend the money on a 120hz or better LCD. The better kHz, the better refresh rate.

Just look for Trinitron / Diamondtron CRTs, most that are over 20" should be fine.
Somd good brands would be mitsubishi, sony, toshiba, dell, iiyama, and viewsonic.

just look for whatever's on craigslist (probably the only place you're gonna find one) and check what frequency they go up to with google if the person actually bothered to list the model

I have a samsung 997mb that I used to use that goes to 140hz, as long as it gets the refresh you're looking for the model likely doesn't matter

All excellent points, particularly paying attention to horizontal scanning rate. When I'm browsing CRTs, I plug their specs into this site to get an idea of maximum possible resolution at the maximum vertical refresh rate.
