I'd like to preface this by saying I do not recommend being a part of the teamfortress.tv community. It's absurdly caustic, and the norms of offensiveness and disrespect here are not something I'm willing to tolerate.
After reading the thread about TF2 apparently being over the hill, I decided that it's important to make sure that new players have the resources they need to enter the community and keep improving. I want new players to feel free to ask me questions about competitive, how to get into it, how to improve, whatever.
My experience:
- I've played UGC HL (typically Scout) starting in S6 (steel) up to S14 (platinum)
- About 1 fullseason of ESEA Open (scout) and several seasons of UGC 6v6 (from Steel to Platinum)
- More HL than 6v6, but plenty of both
- Lead a high Silver team for part of S8, and lead for the entirety of S9.
- Currently leading a Platinum team for S15.
I'm not going to find you a team and tuck you in at night and check up on your progress, but I don't want people to feel so intimidated by the gap between competitive and pubs. I will always try to make time for you, should you ask. If you want to just sit on my friends list and not talk to me, you'll probably be removed so I can have more space.
WHO SHOULD ADD ME:
- New players with no idea where to start
- Anyone with questions/concerns about starting comp
- Anyone who has played some low-level comp but wants to make sure they're on the right path
- New team leaders that have questions about the leagues, servers, scrims, recruitment, etc.
Don't add me if you know what you're doing but need help stepping your game up. There are better people for that. (although if you're an iron to silver HL team i can help you out)

It helps a lot if you leave a post or a comment saying what you're adding me for.
