Weird issue with alt-tabbing

So lately I've been getting weird framerate issues, but they seem to be fixed for like 4-5 minutes after I alt-tab out of the game. This isn't an enormous deal right now because I just dick around on pubs, but it's kind of annoying, so I'm hoping someone might have a tip or two.

This is a wild guess but maybe it's a stability issue. Try turning off the multithreading cvars in your fps config. (or get an fps config if you don't have one already)

Sounds like something is overheating and slowing down to protect itself. Try blowing out any dust buildup in vents and/or fins on your computer/laptop. If it still persists look at your CPU and GPU temps under load (next time you have to alt tab would be a good time to look) and post them here.

Alright I found the solution.

All I had to do was post a thread about it and then it fixed itself.
