Not sure how many of you on here partake in this or if a thread like this has been around before, but I might as well get a vape thread going. And when I say vape I mean electronic cigarettes, not the marijuanas.

I have been dipping (using chewing tobacco/snuff) for about 4 years or so, within the past year going through almost a can a day. Just kind of fell into the peer pressure back in high school, and since I live in a somewhat rural area of PA where hunting and all that good stuff is prevalent, a lot of people did it. A few days ago I picked up an MVP V2 with an Aspire Nautilus tank from my local shop to try and start getting off of tobacco. I have to say, it does wonders. I used the crappy eGos in the past with garbage tanks and it never did the trick. I have now been only dipping about once a day, and thats just more for the oral fixation than anything. I use a 6mg juice since I tend to vape a decent bit throughout the day depending on what I'm doing. It keeps me from consuming too much nicotine. The goal is to move to 3mg next, and then try to start using 0mg nicotine juices to get myself off of nicotine altogether. From there, then just use a mix of like 3mg and 0mg and do it more as just a hobby.

What devices do you guys use? What would be the next step up for me from the MVP V2 and the nautilus? I'm not really looking to get into mechanicals all that much, looking more into some other regulated box mods with variable voltage and/or variable wattage. Although I would be looking to get into some rebuildables like the kayfun and maybe some RDAs, but that probably wont be for a little while yet.

I really want to get the mini with that stainless steel outside tube. Looks a bit less clunky compared to the full sized nautilus on the MVP.

I use a Vision Spinner + Kanger T3S
The spinner is great for how cheap it is. the t3 works pretty well (dirt cheap too) but it has some leak issues (which can be fixed)

I smoke a lot of hash oil from an O Pen. I prefer RipVape cartridges though.

Got my medical card in CA.

I don't vape myself, but I work with a bunch of guys who do (reformed smokers) and I 100% prefer the smell of fruity vapor over residual cigarette smoke so it's A-OK in my book.

Chewing tobacco is awful. Tobacco in general is bad, but the nicotine isn't a health issue really. Nicotine just gives you an addiction to nicotine. Vaping 0mg liquids has like 0 health risks. You're just inhaling vegetable glycerin vapor. Nothing bad in it.

On the contraire anything unnatural you put into your body can be bad, and the way you take a deep hit out of a Mod, or anything cloud chasing, you have to breathe from your diaphragm. Doing this exposes your bronchial and can cause different complications in your lungs because it effects such a deeper area than say pot, or cigs.
Im still a avid vapor but thats just from a medical side, what can go wrong.

As reilly said, the health concern isn't nicotine. Nicotine is on par with caffeine really, though people argue its more addictive which I think is a valid claim. And even using 3mg nicotine is very very low.

The thing with chewing tobacco is, is that it isn't has horrible for you as people think, though it is still bad for you. While it isn't good for you by any means, its a lot less harmful to you than smoking cigarettes is. I just feel a lot of people have the misconception that they are equally bad for you, which is false. Snus (a Swedish invention similar to chewing tobacco but can be swallowed), has been said to be even less harmful. Chewing tobacco doesn't give you the numerous side effects that smoking does, nor as severe.

Research done by an oral pathologist at the University of Louisville named Brad Rodu, as well as many other credible researchers and institutions actually show that oral cancer rates among those that use chewing tobacco are actually quite low. And as I said before, you don't really have any other adverse side effects besides receding gums, your lip getting a little sore, leukoplakia (which almost never happened to me), and in very rare cases, hairy tongue. Though I think this was used more as a scare tactic to keep people away from chewing tobacco, because I have never known anyone with it, or knew someone that knew someone that had it. This means the side effects do more to effect the appearance of your mouth more than anything (yellow teeth, receding gums). Although of course, there are still the people out there that do actually get oral cancer, as well as esophagus and stomach problems if they swallow it (thats only something the hardcore dippers do).

Sorry this was somewhat lengthy post, this is just something I researched a lot, and actually did a research report on in school. Regardless, all tobacco is bad for you to some extent, that is why I switched to vaping.

I really hope vaping is safe for you guys in the long term! I can't find anything definitive about health effects.

I use mechanical mods. Currently Stingray clone and a SMPL clone with a Plumeveil. If you havn't looked into rebuildable dripping atomizers, for the love of god please do. They are so much better. Just be sure to be safe about it and learn ohms law etc etc.
