try using your discreet graphics card to power your 60hz, as in plug it in via vga cable to the back of your mobo

I tried plugging my 60hz monitor into my mobo and 144 into GPU and it was horrendous if there was any action on the 60hz screen. Not sure if it was just my pc being shit or not though.

Is the video open running with flash? Sounds like vsync is making you see 60 fps on your main. My solution is to just play the game and not watch videos.

I don't see the problem.

Anything other than steam messages and flash causing lag?

Steam and Flash being pieces of shit and causing lag is perfectly normal. ("It's not a bug, it's a feature!"/s)

What Hooli tried to say is, You should try running your second monitor of your integrated graphics card, which has the same Dvi input (or hdmi) as your graphics card, just try switching the plug from the gpu to the motherboard (and update drivers for both)

Anyway all of this is only possible if your CPU even has an onboard gpu
