a friend told me that you have to multiply x10 the ammount of your tf2 scale to get an equivalet ql accel
i use 0.04 in tf2, should i use 0.4 in the driver or 0.04 is fine?

It will depend on your TF2 fps, as source engine acceleration is apparently fps dependent. Injx describes the relationship between the two games here http://www.esreality.com/index.php?a=post&id=1903728#pid1903738

This is an unsigned driver from an untrusted third party. Windows has to boot into test mode and store an untrusted certificate in the trusted root certificate store. But apart from that it's not really outside the scope of what a normal mouse driver does.

Also hey I did a little bugfix/feature update recently. Unfortunately it is still just as difficult to install for some people. If you have a Zowie mouse, I have some troubleshooting instructions that were donated by a Zowie mouse user.

povohatSorry if it doesn't work on your machine, I am having trouble tracking down these issues because I cannot reproduce them on my system.

The driver compiles with no warnings through the microsoft driver rules code analysis pass, it shows no problems in microsoft's driver verifier utility and passes the static driver verifier with the strictest rule set. The whole thing is based on an example driver from microsoft themselves.

I just hit f8 on startup and disabled driver checking and it's working now but I'd have to do that every time I booted up (which tbf I don't mind too much).

It means that the ingame acceleration depends on your framerate. The lower your framerate is, the more effect it has. So 60fps accel is more extreme than 120fps accel with the same settings. This is because it runs it on the mouse data every frame, and doesn't compensate for higher framerates giving smaller slices of mouse data (up to a point: if the framerate is above your mouse's polling rate then there's a chance what will happen is effectively the same fps as your mouse's polling rate, but staggered across more game frames)

Decided to try this (being a long-time non-accel player) and it works/feels surprisingly well :D Installed very smooth on Win7 64bit. Might actually like this more than non-accel =)

I like accel because I can have lower sensitivy for aiming but can still turn around super fast which is often necessary in tf2.

Trying to use a low sens while having the need to flick. No other settings seems to help with this

I'm using MouseRate to check and it shows random +1000hz spikes while moving the mouse below speeds that would normally register has 1000hz.

Does the driver account for this?

By counts per millisecond I mean the total of the X/Y values that have been reported by the mouse. The range would be 0 to whatever the highest amount of counts you can produce from your mouse in 1ms. For example, this would be 0-256 in the case of the ir-led zowie mice at 500hz.

Polling rate fluctuations are handled probably as good as is possible. The driver knows how long it has been between updates and adjusts the speed calculation for acceleration accordingly. Source has been up for ages feel free to browse it, maybe it could be improved somehow

Sorry for the necro-bump, but this driver is a formidable utility - can't hurt to have it on top again.

I'd like clarification as to how the sens cap works, because it seems whatever I set it to, my cursor just becomes slow as fuck or doesn't even move.

Edit: Also, if I set "Sensitivity" as "3.49" next time I open the driver it will say "349", missing the dot. Is this normal?

Edit2: If I want to stop using this, is it enough to use the update driver method to put my previous driver in it's place? Or will there be registry remainders?

Senscap is the limit of sensitivity i wanna get, with any moviment speed you wont pass this sensitivity.

But everyone, try KovaaK plugin for Qlacceldriver. its awesome because you can make the same accel in different mices/dpis/etc. At least the same feeling, to build a muscle memory in accel.

Cara, instala esse programa do kovak e lá vai ter gráficos que talvez vc entenda melhor.
