I'm gonna make this kinda simple, My current headphones broke and I need a new pair. I'm stuck between a Logitech G430 and a Steelseries Siberia V2. Any reccomendations on better headphones in a $50-$100 pricerange. Thanks.

These are a tier down from the ATH-M50S that I own, on the upper range of your budget but I have had very good experiences with the M50s. Mind you, they don't have a built in microphone to my knowledge, so you'd have to search elsewhere for gaming purposes.

A friend recently bought a pair of M40xes and is quite pleased with them, plus the reviews I've seen are almost entirely positive though I've not myself tried them.

Might be worth checking out.

Also the usual mention of Sennheiser as a solid brand at most, if not all pricepoints.

It would help to know a little more about what they are going to be used for (ie what genres of music, amped or not, preference of sound signature etc). For gaming I would recommend open back headphones over closed for the wider soundstage, unless you plan on using them portably (sound leak and no isolation). I also like being able to hear things around me and how loud my voice is but that just comes down to preference.

I listen to a lot of rock and prefer bright headphones so I bought a pair of grado sr80s when I was in your situation. Grados definitely aren't for everybody though and I wouldn't recommend them to you with so little information.

Some suggested I get these and I don't regret buying them.

I'm mostly going to use them for gaming but I do listen to music quite often (gorrilaz, two door cinema club, m83, and etc) But my primary concern is comfort, my old ones would hurt my ears and mess up my hair horribly

How do they sound for music? And comfort, how do they feel?

personally I -really- don't like the Siberia V2 - the mic is nice and the sound is OK, but they're incredibly uncomfortable. they squeeze my ears and hang on the top of them and I know a few other people complain about this too

hero says he literally wears a hat while playing to prevent blistering

my ears are like tiny too so I feel like it's probably worse if you have normal sized ears

I know appearance means nothing and I'm gonna sound stupid for saying this, but they look so bland.

No man what are you talking about? Beats are the best. They make you hear the music as the arist intended. They're made by THE Dr. Dre. He MAKES music. He KNOWS about audio.
