Only works if people apply it on their IRC client, unless there's a way for the channels to force it. atf2 should be doing this already.
If someone doesn't do this, they could get DDoSed, which could ruin a pug.

Side note, atf2.org is getting a face lift, I'm gonna try to get the stats thing back in place, I'm taking feature requests for the bots, and I should have the @atf2.org host fixed. So there may be a few site/bot restarts tonight. Other than that, if you want anything added in the bot just let me know!
