Weird issues with Framerate Drop

Recently, ive been having issues, mainly with framerate and mouse lag. I messed with my fps config in a way that caused my fps to cap at 60 and my mouse to have extreme lag. I somehow fixed this, even though i dont know exactly what caused it. However, since that my game has been buggy. Im not sure if its just on jump maps or everywhere, but ive only seen it on jump maps. Every once in a while, my framerate will take a massive drop, going from about 280 to what it says is 60, but feels like 10-15. This is accompanied by a very jittery screen, which does not seem like its due to just the framerate drop, and my mouse also lags very badly. These instances last anywhere from a couple of seconds to a minute or two, and are really frustrating. I dont know what might have caused this, if anyone could help that would be much appreciated. I can provide all the configs i use through dropbox if necessary

It's what happens when steamcommunity reconnects after losing connection.

I don't know why it does what it does or how to fix it but yeah. Seems like that is your problem. Happens to a lot of people so at least you're not alone about it.

I checked like a thousand times when i was having my initial cfg problems. And this is sudden, it doesnt always cap at 60 and have mouse lag. three people have said its the whole steam going offline thing, and one gave me a temporary fix when i need it, so im just gonna try that during important things and hope it works.

VAC runs a process-intensive validation process after resynchronizing to Steam, causing your FPS to lock until the connection is fully verified & reestablished or until the connection times out (causing the uncommon "Client ticket not valid" error). It's an unfortunate consequence to Steam's abrupt & common disconnections.

If the FPS locks & input delays aren't as consistent as Steam's disconnection lag, mind telling us about your temporary fix? See if your console produces any error messages during the lag, and I would like to see your cfg folder too.

Having the same problem recently. As soon as someone appears on screen, my screen gets jittery and I get huge mouse lag, it feels as if someone halved my sensitivity.

What I discovered is that it only happens on certain servers, while others are completely fine. So I guess it's either some server plugin or perhaps connection issues related to routing to the server.
