So I saw this at the 'TF2+ hud' thread:

To change the lighting position, hold CTRL and drag with your Left Mouse Button.
To pan the camera, hold SHIFT and drag with your Left Mouse Button.
To zoom, drag up or down with your Right Mouse Button.
To rotate the camera, drag with your Left Mouse Button, either left/right or up/down.

And wanted to if you're going to implmenet the same thing into your hud?
It's a pretty awesome thing, which I never thought possible, but hey, it is.
Awesome work by him, and i'd love to see it in your hud.

Also forgot to write down that if you could fix the buff banner/battalions backpack (other signs) signs that clip in a weird way, if possible.
If possible adding the medic %s under crosshair and perhaps a bottom uber meter bar.
And the killstreak icon I told you 'bout as an option.
And maybe an option for a left handed side of the 6's scoreboard (however I did hear that messing with scoreboards).

If you'd like to add this into Rayshud, you can edit classloadoutpanel.res and replace "allow_rot" "1" with "allow_manip" "1" under classmodelpanel.

Can anyone help me, why is the end of the first '2' in the health cut off, and why are the closedcaptions like that? I thought they were supposed to look different. I have the gut feeling that both originate from some sort of text problem.. Thanks

That 2 I think is because of some fancy resolution bs, so it just gets cut off.
Going into 'HudWeaponAmmo.res' and changing "AmmoInClip" wide value, if it's like 50 boost it up to 55 and see if that fixes it(note this might not work, huds2hard4meusually)

Also, apologies on the slow development time of the installer - Tree's been swamped with work so he hasn't been able to fully train me to support/improve the installer on my own yet, but hopefully that'll happen over the next few weeks.

Hey, raiku is probably right about the ammo thing - I guess because you're playing on a resolution that I didn't fully optimize for (1280x800), it's more than possible that the panel containing the ammo count is a bit messed up due to how your aspect ratio handles the hud frame sizes.

As for the closed captions, I'm not entirely sure why those are like that, but I have a hunch; I might've accidentally gotten the font definitions for closed captions in the minmode version of the hud mixed with those for the regular version. Regardless, I'll either have completely new closed captions, or at least fixed ones for the minmode version of the hud, in my next hud update. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks Rays, Raiku (and you) were right about the resolution thing. As for the closecaptions, they look the same on the normal version as well. Do you think it might be a problem with my laptop and not the hud?

I decided to install the HUD using the installer by Tree since editing the HUD's core files itself was getting difficult, and now every time I load up TF2, it defaults to the default HUD, even though RaysHUD is installed. Can anyone tell me what I might've done wrong and how to fix this?

Make sure the filepath is correct? You may not have it directed to your custom folder.

EDIT: Figured it out, the little window that pops up wasn't properly selecting my custom folder and was installing the HUD just to the tf folder.

Tree's been extremely busy these past few months, as he's currently working two jobs full-time and trying to finish his degree. However, that being said, he's actually recently began active development on it again over the past week or so, so assuming all goes well, we're looking at releasing sooner rather than later.

To everyone else:

I'm sorry for the lack of updates recently. I have an update that's almost ready to be pushed out (and has been for some time), but I've been putting all my attention into helping get the extv hud finished. Fortunately I was able to get the majority of the extv hud done yesterday though, so I should be able to return to regular development/updates and get the new release out soon.

However, since I haven't officially released yet, if any of you have any bugs you'd like to see get fixed in this next update, let me know! I can't fix them if I'm not aware they exist.

Hello rays,

I've been wanting to use your hud for sometime now but every time I use it the font is cut off.

I'm using a mac, the mac variants of the font are a bit to low so it gets cut off from the bottom so i was wondering if you could raise it up a tad.

However, there is a tiny detail that annoys me a bit and that is the animation in the bottom right corner that shows what class you are playing and weapon you are currently holding.
Is there some on/off switch for that in hudlayout.res or elsewhere ?

Version 3.9 is out!

It includes the following changes:

-Added in support for the new backpack UI.
-Fixed the screen lagging when changing pages in the backpack.
-Fixed the loading spinners in the backpack not working properly.
-Added in a more customizable loadout screen.
-Bolded the closed captions font for readability.
-Converted a few missing HUD elements over to the HUD's font. (Mostly SourceMod stuff)
-Changed the color of all SourceMod text back to yellow/orange from magenta. (Sorry!)
-Fixed a bug relating to the IntroMenu.res when you first joined a server.
-Added in support for the Battalion's Backup/Buff Banner icons on the player HUD.

Installer seemed to work fine here;

It might sound silly, do you guys have tf2 open while trying to use the updater? Will 10/10 times cause a crash. If you close it, installer should work without issue. I was able to update from 3.8.1 to 3.9.0 and to 3.9.1

@Admiral_Obesity rays released 3.9.1 yesterday with bug fixes. He committed them to github which looks to be where the hud installer grabs the files from. Rays probably didn't have a chance to update the post yet.

It might sound silly, do you guys have tf2 open while trying to use the updater? Will 10/10 times cause a crash. If you close it, installer should work without issue. I was able to update from 3.8.1 to 3.9.0 and to 3.9.1

@Admiral_Obesity rays released 3.9.1 yesterday with bug fixes. He committed them to github which looks to be where the hud installer grabs the files from. Rays probably didn't have a chance to update the post yet.

I got the "installation successful" box as well, and the hud version changed from 3.81 to 3.9 on the main menu, but the minmode and class select screens don't seem to match up with the screenshots Rays posted. When I get home tonight I'll
try removing the hud and reinstalling.

E: my phone sucks nuts.

I am truly retarded. Didn't realize that minmode in the picture descriptions in the first post meant the minimal version of the hud on page 1 of the installer instead of cl_hud_minmode 1.
