I couldn't get a response from the owner of EJP studio (who created the original mockups the HUD is based on) so I've decided to release what's done of the HUD to the public.

It's about 80% finished, but I realized the other 20% would take a lot more work, so I've stopped development here so I've decided to release it in alpha form so I could get some testers/feedback.

Things that are not done include:
- Main Menu
- Engi/Spy Menus
- Vaccinator
- CTF HUD
- MOTD
- PL/PLR
- MVM

All of these things are unchanged from omphud's, so they still work, they are just incongruent with the style.

(Forgot to mention, the scoreboard is supposed to be displayed without the "Name", "Ping", and "Score" labels. Open tf_english.txt under tf/resource and change those labels to "" to remove them! Also, make sure cl_hud minmode is set to 0.)

Sidenote: Feel free to give feedback, make suggestions, etc. I'm working solely off of a handful of Photoshop mockups that aren't even possible to replicate.

I don't know if it's just me but I think you messed up the hud files there :P

With this I mean I think you uploaded faulty files because the outcome of those are nowhere near what you have on screenshots, they have omp's font and really different positioning

EDIT: Nevermind me, was running minmode :p

By default, there are no low ammo animations at all. However, they can be added, and the AMMO label can do what you're asking. Feel free to add me if you want help with that.

Thanks. Keep in mind the vast majority of the HUD was an attempt to replicate the original mockups somebody else (elmst) did, so I can't take credit for the idea. That said, it hasn't felt any more or less practical than any other HUD I've used.

One question though, how come on the timers the top timer has the font used in the hud, but the one underneath uses a different one?

I hate to say it, but the main typeface (Imagine Font) is pretty hard to read in smaller sizes. The top timer uses the smallest version of Imagine I decided to use (it's the same size for world-based damage numbers). Futura is already used in other parts of the HUD and is readable in small sizes, so I opted to use that instead.

The damage numbers are not as small as the round-timer numbers. They are the same size as the server map timer numbers, which I decided was an acceptable size for which to use the Imagine typeface.

As a side-note, I think the readability would be vastly improved with a better typeface such as Axion RX-14 or whatever typeface the original mockups used; unfortunately, they aren't available to me. FF Gothic works as a medium but has horrible tracking.

I originally started this HUD with no previous experience and the wrong typefaces. Now that I have more experience and the right typefaces, I'm remaking it. The HP and ammo numeral typeface in your screenshot is the correct typeface as seen in the original mockups here: http://ejphud.wordpress.com/

Really neat HUD, Love the font :). But here's a suggestion: Can you maybe move the ammo is the right a little? I love the HUD and I'll try it out, but maybe move the ammo box to the right :/ ?

Hudlayout.res, HudWeaponAmmo. Increase the xpos.
