So, most likely there will be a 6's tournament. No prize money or anything though unless someone wants to donate tf2 keys or hats and we can play for that. It's a fun community tournament that we are going to do, so if anyone is forming teams let me know and i'll put your team on the description.

There is a fine line between providing monitors to rent, or making you use theirs. Quakecon has/had rental service which is nice.

Hey all - just stumbled across this thread, thought I'd stop by and say we are looking forward to having you guys at the event. A few things: I will make another post tonight about how the structured TF2 tournament will be run - we have a guy who is now going to be overseeing the tournament.

Also - I saw someone posting that we supply monitors, I just want to make sure it's clear that we do NOT supply monitors. It's BYOC including your own monitor.

Just received some more info from the TF2 tournament guy - here's some of the rules and such:

The Format:
Tournament will be Swiss style so everyone can expect to get a lot of games in.

The Configs:
Servers will be running the latest CEVO configs.
CP maps will be 30 mins or 5 rounds won. Overtime will be sudden death.
KOTH maps will be 30 mins or 4 rounds won. Overtime will be sudden death.

Map Selection:
Teams will alternate banning maps and play on the final remaining map in the pool.

The Map Pool:
cp_gullywash_final1
cp_badlands
cp_snakewater_final1
cp_granary
cp_process_final
koth_coalplant_b7
cp_metalworks_rc5

Disputes will be handled at the discretion of the Beachcon Staff.

Looking forward to seeing you guys at the event!

I'm coming from Irvine, dropping off two guys in Westminster. Are you bringing a full rig or a laptop? I should be able to drop you off depending on how much space the computers and stuff take up.
