So please help me!

Welcome to tftv!

Do you have auto reload off? To me it sounds like you have it off and are only getting problems when you are pressing R to reload. Under advanced options, you can check the auto-reload box, and that should fix your issue. There are no downsides to auto reload, and it's pretty typical to have it on.

Best of luck. If you have any more questions feel free to ask me either in this thread, via pm, or whatever.

something tells me you play on a laptop and when you move your hand to press R you hit your pad thing and it fires the weapon

if you play on a laptop disable the touchpad

if you play on a desktop try restoring control to default / provide more info about the problem

Like others have said reset your controls to default in TF2 and if that doesn't fix it try adding -autoconfig to your launch options to reset everything.

The Auto reload works great, but here and there the weapon would shoot one bullet. But i guess it's fine

That's really odd. Are you in a situation like sirkiddo said?

sirkiddosomething tells me you play on a laptop and when you move your hand to press R you hit your pad thing and it fires the weapon

if you play on a laptop disable the touchpad

if you play on a desktop try restoring control to default / provide more info about the problem

If so, you'll need to disable that sort of thing.

Yes i do play on a laptop and the touch pad is disabled, however one time when i was going to press R to reload i accidentally pressed T near a wall and it started firing by it's self, i found it out today, Once again no bindings for this to happen.

You can edit your posts... I would recomend maybe trying unbindall and then only binding the keys you use, but that will probably just make you have unecessary work. That's what I'do though...

you should try narrowing down the reasons for the problem

for example, join an empty server and run around using your wasd keys and make sure to elevate your arms when doing this so you dont touch the touchpad and ONLY press your wasd keys (even though you said touchpad was off i still think it registers clicks or something)

run around for like 5-10 minutes using only wasd and see if the weapon fires randomly then come back with results

another thing: maybe you're pressing your left mouse button to shoot but you just don't notice it? the mouse you're using might have buttons that are too easy for you to press or something

if you've tried to set every bind to default, then i would assume its not within the game
i cant really tell what the problem would be, you would just have to do trial and error until you find the cause

The results: When i only press Wasd there was no random firing at all. (and i did elevate my arm)

And when i fire my weapon, i do notice if i am pressing Mouse 1 to fire or not.

now go on an empty server and tap your touchpad to see if that fires ur weapon

also try to click the left button on your touchpad cuz that does the same thing

you might wanna disable your touchpad completely through BIOS just to make sure

My touch pad does fire when i press the left button and the touch pad is disabled.
Another thing is that when i play other first person shooter games, or just gun games on Steam
The same problem happens with the random firing like in Team fortress 2.

1. Disable steam cloud
2. Exit steam
3. Delete your tf2 folder
4. Uninstall and reinstall tf2.
Problem solved, this will reset your Cfg, config etc.

No_sirThanks, i will try that :)

I predict this isn't going to fix your problem.

Considering that this happens in other FPS games it's fairly easy to deduce that the issue isn't related to your binds. If it's not caused by your binds there's really two possible causes: your hardware or you.

Get a USB keyboard, plug it into the USB port on your laptop, use only that keyboard and a mouse, no touchpad, no built-in keyboard. This will eliminate the possibility that there's a short in your laptop's keyboard PCB or that you are accidentally hitting a mouse/touchpad button when you go to reload.
