foobar is definitely the optimal choice right now. Literally anything can be changed about it and facets is simply the best way to manage a music library I've ever had.

If you're open to using it as a local music management system, which it definitely works fine as: Spotify
The only issue I have is that there is no album sorting. It's album as a playlist, in a folder of albums at best. Sorting is a little clunky when it comes to that.

You can easily remote control it with your phone and use it with VST plugins. You can even have a portable version that saves your settings in its folder.
