i recently switched to 800x600 to gain more fps.

now my chat text is too large for my liking and my score board is streched across my screen.
i don't know anything about hud customization and i would be very grateful if someone could help me get the right fit for my screen.

For the chat font, go into your clientscheme.res, and search for an entry called "ChatFont."
Since you are on 800x600, look for the font that is defined for the ypos of 600 - 767, and lower the "tall" value. For me, the value is 13. Try something like 11 or 12. As for the scoreboard, do you have a pic to show us what exactly is wrong?

So you just want your scoreboard to take up less room on the screen?

The scoreboard is unfortunately not an easy fix. If you had a basic understanding of HUD elements, I could walk you through the steps to shrink it. Does the HUD you use offer any alternatives, i.e. a 6v6 scoreboard that may be smaller?
