I think you should get one of those 1000hz tv's, they must be amazing for gaming.

Oh yea I'm pretty sure the difference between "1ms input lag" and "less than 1ms input lag" is huge 8))
Also lol @240Hz

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is the same thing as lightboost.

edit: thx fog

No. What are you even talking about?

how much input lag does this thing have? it just says "low input lag" everywhere.

also yeah this basically looks like lightboost built into the monitor. for way less you can get a VG248QE and do it yourself.

The apparent difference is that this monitor uses a VA panel while regular 120hz monitors use TN panels. Is it worth $600? I don't think so.

Is this not literally just interpolating from the signals that it doesnt get to make it appear smoother?
Just like the tvs that say they are 120hz+ but just take a 60hz signal (not that tv is even more than 30fps normally) and makes up the new frames

Lastly, we just wanted to include a quick note about input lag. Eizo says

No it is not interpolating, it does either frame doubling, or interlaces black screens to display 240hz.

People are jumping on this as if it's nonsense marketing- this is not like 240hz tv's. The method used should display motion better than 120hz w/o interpolation and the display itself will offer far better contrast and better colors than the current TN panels. Worst case it's basically light boost like feature built in with less color degradation when in that mode. Their backlight strobing is a bit different and seems improved.
