Looked like a good time. I would love to see other tournaments like this (at all levels), as I feel (especially if casted) they could not only bring light to the game, but would be a ton of fun to play in. Also Kaneco, you did a kickass job pulling this together, and I regret not getting off my ass and playing.

Also I always thought it was cane-co not ka eco. The more you know.
I had a bit of a closer view into what Kaneco was doing behind the scenes as I helped him a bit with putting together the page for the NA cup and it is staggering the amount of work he did to make the cup a success. There were teams that did get turned down, it's not like every single team was accepted. At the end of the day I think the biggest issue came about from defining "newbie". Was this a cup for teams made up of players with no comp experience? Players with little to no comp experience? How does HL factor in? You can see where the issues arose. The team playin runescape for example was made up of higher level HL players who, although had no 6v6 experience still had a ton comp tf2 experience.
If there is another comp.tf Newbie cup, which is something no one is really going to think about until the current seasons that are beginning start to end, I think that Kaneco will use what he learned from this Cup to make the next one better.

Absolutely, any blame to the guy is misdirected, he did everything he could, on a sunday, on his bday, he helped me a lot through the cup where the issues were mainly on my side, major props to him. I can definitely vouch for him and will be looking up to him for any future events if he's interested.

Not sure what plans Kaneco has but this cup really burned him out. Logically the next cup (IF THERE IS ONE) wouldn't be until after this season.

Definitely want to do something like this again, altough it wont be any soon, like merchant said, it was really exhausting for me and a lot of the people involved.
Looking into other options as well, such as bball, mge or ultiduo cups
