This is my first and likely my last frag movie. The footage is from back on s12, I've had it for a while but recently I decided to finish it. I didn't do it for the frags, but more of a way to say goodbye to the game and the community.

Unfortunately, I have developed carpal tunnel syndrome in both of my hands and I am drowning in college debt, so there is almost zero chance that I will play competitive TF2 again. I will still follow it as much as my schedule allows for it.

Here it is:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_YxLadnftA

and a 60fps version because youtube butchered my quality
http://www.mediafire.com/download/q3z6etfzzzxz76s/Man_of_school.mp4

There is, however, one shout out missing from the movie: to the TF2 community. Keep doing awesome stuff like i46, and i49, and all the million other fundraisers. It really shows that despite any differences when you come together you can accomplish great things.

You seem like a cool guy. Good luck on your carpal tunnel and your debt, hope you get everything fixed up and arranged.

IDK if it was carpal tunnel, but my right hand used to cramp up when I played osu. And like I sprained it a few times and couldn't play tf2 , and then I couldn't really move it for a while.

Stretching my wrist a little bit and moving it around before I play really helps me. Also taking your hand of the mouse sometimes, during deaths or taking breaks between games.

something like this: http://www.eatonhand.com/hw/ctexercise.htm but I just like pull my hand back, and roll a fist around. It really helps. GL

Good luck man. I've been working from a computer and playing computer games for, like, 20 plus years. As Dodecagon has said, doing those every couple of minutes really help and I would also add cracking your knuckles. It should be noted that the whole arthritis from doing that has been proven to be a wives tale.

#6, I'll see what the doctor says. But for now, I can't play at all due to the pain alone. On top of that, I am a computer science major, so it is not like I have a choice.

I've had problems with my wrists as well. Don't know if it was Carpal Tunnel or just general joint issues, but I found doing wrists curls helped a LOT.

i've mitigated RSI by lifting, specifically deadlifts since they strengthen your forearms like no other lift I'm familiar with. for cardio, I'd recommend the rowing machine

Scholar...and I am drowning in college debt

There are many things that can help with this. You probably have some sort of plan to take care of it, but working with your lender can ease the stress of loans. Look in to forbearance and deferment. Really low monthly payments are also options. Your circumstance is unique, but nobody should try to pay back their loans without custom tailoring their payment schedule.

Just thought I'd share this. I know this isn't gonna change your mind but for what it's worth :

these things are popular amongst rock climbers. I found they are also great for gamers. Plus, they're actually a ton of fun.

Edit: here's a video to show exactly what it does. I think this guys technique is pretty noobish but it gets the idea across. It works more than the muscles in your forearm; using different techniques, it uses your wrist and even the ligaments/tendons in your fingers.

wow i hope this is true, I love deadlifts. it just seems counter intuitive that you mitigate stress with more stress

The trick is to not over stress in a given time frame. The exercise ball in my previou post is great because you can easily control the intensity of the resistance. You can just have it going while doing other tasks. A little bit here and there.

Why exactly am I getting -fragged? Do people still think that cracking your knuckles still do damage after multiple 10-20 year studies on the matter? I am honestly wondering and not trying to be mean.
