Galaxy Mega or S4?

I'm getting a phone soon, so I was looking at models. Right now I'm favoring the Mega over the S4, because of its 6.3" screen and the fact that it's $150-200 cheaper. It also has a slightly bigger battery, which is nice.

What I'd like to know is whether there's any reason for me to consider the S4, given this. As far as I know, it has a better processor (1.6GHz 8-core as opposed to 1.7Ghz dual core) and better overall specs (more RAM etc). It also has a 13mpx camera, not that I really care.

As far as I see, I'll be using it mainly for regular phone stuff, email, accessing chat programs, and general browsing (wikipedia, Youtube, the usual stuff). Given that I'm not going to play Deus Ex The Fall, is there any reason I'd want that processing power? Or are there other things I'm missing?

I'm also considering other brands, I suppose, Sony, HTC, HP, although I'm not too fond of Apple.

If you plan on putting it in your pocket ever, not a mega.

if you are willing to wait a little while, the Note III and HTC One Max should be out giving the mega more competition...not like the mega will be cheaper in a few months :)

i think the mega was reviewed on the TWIT.TV show "Before you Buy" yesterday or monday!

depending on your carrier/location and if you need a phone ASAP may be worthwhile to look at a note II for a less expensive option (swappa.com is a great site for used phones)

edit: who is your carrier?

If your carrier is verizon, the HTC one is out and the Moto X comes out the 29th. Both phones are better than s4, they have more processing power, less buggy. The HTC One has 1080p HD viewing for everything, while the Moto X has a longer battery life and 720p.

Idk other phones for diff carriers :I.
