I don't live in Missouri, but I have the misfortune of driving all the way across the state a couple times a year. Fuck Missouri.

But really, I can't imagine that it's any different from the rest of the Midwest. I grew up in Kansas, which is basically the same...it's hot and humid in the summer, cold in the winter and snows a couple of times. I haven't noticed that the people there were any more or less friendly than anywhere else. Probably as much racism as most other places in the country outside of the deep South.

There are definitely more conservative/religious people in the Midwest than on the East or West coast though. But unless you care a lot about politics or something, it's pretty easy to ignore it.

From what I can tell, it's like Ohio. And nothing ever happens here, except for tornadoes.

St. Louis is awesome! Weather is ok- mosquitoes are bad during July and August, but nothing you can't handle. The racism is... well, something we're working on. Generally, it's not something you will be confronted with daily. But you do read those articles or hear about stuff and you're like 'whaaa?' St. Louis is what I termed in a paper "a liberal oasis in a red state," so you won't find too many bible-thumping crazies. It's a very Catholic city, but again, the Catholics are liberal. So they're cool. And for weather, well, you get used to it. The summers are HOT HOT HOT and humid, but no one goes outside anyway. The winters can be cold, but we never/rarely get snow. Feel free to hit me up on steam if you have any more specific questions! All I got to say is I grew up in St. Louis, hated it, but came back and realized how nice it is :)

Avoid East St. Louis... actually, just don't cross the river into IL.

It's hot and humid a fuck, Kip is just used to it. If you stay west of the city you'll be fine, if you go east of it you're probably going to get shot.

Try to live in Balwin. Thats where I lived for 2yrs. Never met up with oplaid bc he never goes outside apparently. I never ran into racism, but I also lived in a "white flight" area. Low crime rate. Clayton is also a really nice area. Avoid east stl.

The weather is also fine. Kansas City gets the snow, St. Louis gets the sleet/hale. Enjoy that. Avoid 270 at rush hour.

I worked in St. Charles for like 2 weeks a while back, it was pretty nice... all of those suburbs west and north of the city are pretty up-scale and welcoming. Also Earth City, that was a pretty cool place.

Uh, since you mentioned Asian population... St. Louis has a lot of Koreans. And it's either really cold or really hot. I really hate the mosquito population here in the summer, it's awful. Also, I don't really notice the racism here at all, although I live in the suburbs I guess.

It's okay, I guess. Oh, and most drivers are idiots.

Kip you live in St. Louis too? o_O

Well. This was a semi weird post to reply to.
