Reinstalling TF2?

Alright.
Might sound like the most stupid question ever, but how do I go about re-installing TF2, so that EVERYTHING is cleaned out.
I want the custom HUD, binds, configs....the whole lot gone with an 'as new' install of TF2.
What stuff do I need to delete/disable before I start installing again? Due to my rather inconsistent internet speeds, I would ideally have Steam re-download TF2 overnight, so quick answers will be greatly appreciated. :D

Sorry again if I come across as a retard...just I would rather get it right the first time so I don't have to faff about re-downloading/installing TF2 all over.

For those wondering...this is an attempt to try and fix my 'horrid' FPS. Apparently an i7 3770k with a 7950 = 300 FPS in spawns and 60 on mid fights. :/ (My FPS was perfectly fine a few months back...then it spazzed out one day and has never really been the same...)

You could just type -autoconfig in your launch options and see if it helps at all as it is alot easier than a complete reinstall. If it makes you feel better, I too have an i7 and since the most recent update my frames have been cut in half.

after deleting teamfortress2 folder, go to (c:)> program files (x86)> Steam> userdata>(find which digits is your steam account and open the folder. delete the entire 440 folder, delete the whole config folder, and ugc. that will start you completely over.

Does reinstalling actually fix the fps drops since the big update? Let us know how it goes.

Just gave that a try. Didn't help :(
I tried pretty much everything, besides a fresh install.
And aye, it seems loads of people are having the same issue. Heres hoping a reinstall fixes it, at least to some degree :P
