Hello,

So basically as the title says, I have lost or misplaced my drivers license, and will more than likely need a replacement. Unfortunately, this process can take as long as 3 weeks in Washington state, and my flight leaves much earlier. I have gone and tried to find information about what pieces of identification are required to get your boarding pass and pass the TSA checkpoints, but I haven't traveled in so long, I'm really unsure. I have a passport, along with a social security card. Does anyone have any experience with this type of situation? Will not having an ID limit my ability to make my flight? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Why would they need your driver's license when they have your passport? A passport trumps every other piece of identification as far as I know.

You are allowed to travel outside of the US as an adult even if you can't drive. Thus we can concur that you are fine.

I just finished some traveling via plane and on the way there/on the way back all I needed was my passport. People around me were offering other forms of ID but they weren't needed.

From the list on tsa.gov:

U.S. passport
U.S. passport card
...
Drivers Licenses or other state photo identity cards issued by Department of Motor Vehicles (or equivalent)

Social security card isn't listed. It sounds like a temporary DL should work as long as it's issued by the DMV, but to be safe use your passport. I wouldn't count on a Costco card...
