I just installed in a new HUD and am a relative amateur in editing them except when it comes to crosshairs. This might take a while, but anyone that can help completely or in little bits will get my virtual love. heh.

Below are pictures of most of the things I want to change, and I'll go through them picture by picture to say specifically what I want to change/fix. If the images are too small, please let me know, I apologize in advance.

For the first, how would I change the color of the loaded and clip ammo ONLY when I'm low on ammo?

Second, how would I make the background in that transparent? In the picture, I already clicked 'continue' once, and previously it was transparent. On this second slide it went all dark.

Along with that, the 'x' int he top right corner. It doesn't do anything, how do I get rid of that? D:

I absolutely loath the font in the loadout and backpack alike. I rolled over the scout icon so you can see the text and its font. I would probably want to do a complete import of a different loadout/backpack section from another HUD. How would I do that if possible? It might be troublesome but I'm willing to go with it.

The team selection is huge and bulky, in my opinion. Like the loadout/backpack change above, can I completely import another HUD's team selection?

I think now would be a good time to put my profile link here, because I haven't put any thought into WHAT HUD I would like to import the loadout/backpack and team and class selection from. Instead of ambiguously telling me the directions, a more straightforward way to help might be to add me, maybe? :D

Crazy OCD here. How do I move the cross downwards so the health is right in the middle, not at the bottom? :c

How do I change the color of my health while overhealed and at low health? At full(normal) health?

This one is just a weird thing I'd like to fix, not something to customize.

When I go down to low ammo, lets say on my pistol, and grab a (for examples sake a full pack), instead of the ammo going back to the normal colors, they go to that bleak white. How do I fix that? Normal colors would be this:

I'm really picky about HUDs and stuff so if anyone that's 1337master (don't kill me) about HUDs, or are just knowledgeable, could add me for the future, that'd be freaking splendid.

Edit: And after writing this, I just changed from cl_hud_minmode 0 to 1, if that changes anything. That's just a note, thanks.

Although this isn't direct help, that's actually very useful. You should also check this guide below out while you're at it. I hope somebody can come and help you directly though, sorry I couldn't be of more help.

that doodlesstuff link is one of the most helpful things I've read concerning tf2 in a while.

never seen that before but that's p cool.

I learned what I know about huds from all kinds of sources, but I got started with flames guide. After reading it and referring to it countless times, I eventually learned the rest from trial and error.

But to op: you may have a hard time finding someone to help you with all that stuff. I recommend familiarizing yourself with the guides omni and I posted, and trying stuff out on your own. You'll absorb the knowledge much better this way, and you can always ask [less broad] questions as you go along. Either route you choose, it won't take you long to realize how complicated making and editing huds can be, at least until you've spent a good amount of time working with them. But imo, it's easier to teach yourself a lot of this stuff rather than listening to someone else try to teach you.

Good luck.
