tornados2111are you taking keys or only cash?

Well, paypal cash is better for me as I need them for lan. I don't really know how many keys should I request for every single game. I suppose I could sell those keys, but then again, I have no clue what are the key prices.

According to backpack.tf keys are around 1.80 USD or 5.11-5.33 refined. I swore refined was worth way more but I guess it's just near worthless now.

cuz people dont craft their ref very often and keep them as money sorta and the game keeps making more items so people can make more ref which lowers the value of the ref i guess

Because people are idling and creating too much ref for the economy, so it's devaluing

Basically, about a year ago 2.33 ref was the standard price. When people started noticing that you could get 2.66 because of a massive abundance of ref, they changed it to 2.66-3. This kept increasing because of a MASSIVE abundance of ref. If craft hats increased like ref did, we'd have a hat being worth ~3 ref at the moment. However, because that specific price stayed static (like buds and bills), it seems like keys are much, much more expensive. As far as I know, the dollar-amount price of keys on backpack tf is based on the price of a scrap multiplied by how many scraps go into the market price of a key in ref. How this number stayed static at about $1.85? I have no fucking clue.
But ref depreciated. I'd expect it to decrease more since quality crafts are rare as fuck, and people aren't willing to play the craft lottery when they have obvious currency right in front of them. This is mostly because high-demand crafts (soldier, sniper, medic and scout miscs) have insanely high craft numbers now, which means the ref you're dumping into it is wasted unless you get something CRAZY good.

Tl;dr: Metal is shit now because of greedy trading and nothing worth crafting.

I normally just scrap the weps I get but I got bored and decided i'd try crafting. I got that three rune blade thing. Would be nice to see them introduce a bunch of reskins or something that could only be acquired though crafting so people would actually do it.
