I often go through tftv to visit whoever's streaming at the moment. But a while ago I started getting annoying shit like this when loading the stream :

that's just twitch's way of making streaming through embeds as miserable as possible to stay on the site.

I use ttvlol and it works pretty consistently. Sometimes I have to refresh a stream or wait a little bit for it to load, but it's infinitely better than twitch without any adblocks. I'm not sure if it works through the tftv site though
