lag jumping, is it allowed in ESEA?

Basically, lag jumping constitutes using a console command that freezes your character. With the Boston Basher, you can do something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GeQyAYVZWDg
and perch yourself on say, Granary lamps or silos in yard.

My question is if this is allowed in ESEA, I would think it isn't but I'd just like to be sure if there isn't any sort of loophole this little thing can fit through.

If it uses the interp exploit, then no since you can't change interp on ESEA.

It is not related to the interp exploit at all.

Yeah but in this vid I use snd_restart, really any command that freezes your game for a second works.

you probably CAN do it on esea servers (I haven't actually tried but I don't see why you wouldn't be able to), but I'm going to guess that it isn't actually allowed since it's an engine bug and all

Exploits will be judged on a case by case basis. Ignorance will NOT be a valid excuse for using an exploit, whether it be known or not. If you think something is possibly an exploit, or you are unsure as to whether or not it is, don't do it!

If you don't mind having your match results overturned, go for it

Well I was just curious, wasn't really thinking of using it as I don't even play scout.

Isn't it pretty useful as soldier as well? Allows for sync jumps when you're stationary as well I believe.
If allowed I bet you could even bomb a medic in trash or on battlements from choke on badlands (albeit taking double the damage.) If you shoot one rocket at your feet and one at the wall or even two at the wall then you could get going really fast and market garden for a drop almost before the med has time to react as well, I believe.

I've been getting uncontrollable lag that causes this same thing. Sometimes in pubs when I lag 2 pipes will come out at the same time. I've also been called a lagswitching fagget in mge cuz it happens to lag when I jump sometimes and it fucks people over.
So it's most likely possible in an esea match and I bet some idiot will use it as an exploit somehow.
Although it will lag someone out if they do it wrong haha.

If my Internet isn't fixed before my league match you may see some accidental faggetry

esea rulesExploits & Infractions

Exploits will be judged on a case by case basis. Ignorance will NOT be a valid excuse for using an exploit, whether it be known or not. If you think something is possibly an exploit, or you are unsure as to whether or not it is, don't do it!

Dispute Resolutions - all disputes must be filed via a website support ticket within three hours of the conclusion of the match along with the demo, specific infraction, and the round in which the infraction occurred. Disputes will be resolved by League Administrators and all decisions are final

Exploit & Infraction Penalties - exploits and infractions will be dealt with on a case by case decision, but standard resolution for the below infractions include overturning the round in which the infraction occurred if the infraction had a direct impact on the outcome of that round

There is no way around it (loop holes). If they find out you used it. Your match could be overturned. ... that is if you intentionally lag yourself with external software or commands in console/binds.
