i told my mom i didnt wanna go to prom and that there was nobody at school I wanna go with. Ok well there is this one girl that's really pretty but she hates me and blocked me on facebook last week (shes a bitch)...
If you're wondering why I don't wanna go, its just that my school is kind of a huge joke. Its really small and almost half of the kids at my school have mental issues. its one of those "independent study" sort of schools so lots of err ummm "special" kids go there. My mom said that she wants me to go because she thinks my "social skills are deteriorating". I do not see how this silly little prom could help in that regard.
now shes making me go with my little sister's babysitter's 22 year old friend.
god dammit. I'm going to look like the kid that got his date off of craigslist. Hopefully it will be against the rules to bring her. Then I'll just have to go alone, and honestly, I would prefer that.

Prom was by far the best damn night of my life in High School. If I didn't go I would 100% regret that shit to damn much. Even if it doesn't help with social skills, it will be fun.
In other words; go their, dance your ass off, random girls will dance with you because of the confidence for your bad dance moves. Girls dig that confidence way more than good looks. Have a good night, it is only once, and you only have another month max (If snow days) You will be amazed at what can happen in a single night.

Prom really isn't that important, I don't know why she would force you to go. I didn't go to mine and never regretted it. Go do something else, or go to prom and just hang out with your friends, or go to prom for a few minutes then leave and do something else. The 22-year-old probably doesn't want to go anyway...no one that old really wants to be around a bunch of 16-18-year-olds. You'll have plenty of time for real parties in college where you can actually drink and have fun and not be awkward high school kids.

I went to mine. It was a waste of time and I'd rather have been at home playing video games. I'm still dating the girl I went with, 2 years later, but prom was boring and just not fun. Go with your gut and don't go.
