Has technology advanced enough to make wireless keyboards and mice more gamer friendly since I left the hobby in 1905?

Does anyone really know, like has anyone actually done any testing on that thought? Or have we just said no for so long that we will continue to just think it without thought?

considering people win fighting game tournaments on wireless ps3/xbox360 controllers it's possible but unlikely anyone making wireless keyboards prioritize reducing input lag

I should have clarified that I was talking about computers and not PS3 or Xbox or Wii

I hear some of the high performance gaming mice have comparable latency to corded mice, but they go through batteries a lot quicker than a normal wireless mouse.

I don't know if there's such a thing as a wireless gaming keyboard.

There are no wireless mice with flawless sensors.

The new Razer mice that are wireless are claiming performance that is practically on par with its wired counterparts but I just can't trust wireless things. If there's a wired way to do it, I will. If you want to talk about technology then what's really improved slowly (and not much at all) is battery technology. Going through batteries sucks if they're disposable. Rechargable ones become worse and worse with use, inevitably, and eventually need to be replaced. It amazes me how many devices now come with rechargeable batteries yet it's very difficult or impossible to actually get to the battery (to remove and replace it), as if to suggest that it will last forever. Finally, I like light mice (like my Deathadder) and any kind of batteries makes a mouse heavier.

Its always a good thing to trust companies when they talk about how awesome their products are because they always tell the exact truth.

JaguarFiendare claiming

If we always disbelieve every companies about their products everything would be pretty shitty, the specs are there.

I own one Deathadder for every computer I use. Best mouse ever made. If the wireless version was good, I'd pick one up.

Over the past year I've slowly phased Razer out from all of my peripherals. Went from using almost a 100% Razer setup to a bunch of various peripherals from other companies.

That said, I've personally never had a problem with wireless stuff, I've had a G7 and a Mamba. But I always stick with wired.
