A new year and new decade must mean new UGC seasons! Signups are now open for each of the various UGC gamemodes: 6v6, Highlander, 4v4, and their brand-new Ultiduo mode.

At the outset, signups for all of the gamemodes will be open for all regions: North America, South America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia. However, whether or not a division will be supported is entirely dependent on signups. Luckily, as is always the case with UGC, league entry will be free across the board.

Starting dates for all of UGC's gamemodes are as follows:

The season will consist of a weekly single-map rotation, lasting 8 weeks of regular play in a Swiss style format, before kicking off with double elimination playoffs. Sign-ups will close in the third week of play, meaning players will be able to form a team and compete midseason.

More information can be found on the UGC website and in their Discord where the maps for each mode will also be announced soon.

This league somehow manages to be just as good or worse than the Sigafoo league. Would not recommend. I'd actually be happy if ESEA still existed.

ESEA was a mess but at least Tri cared.

One thing I would like to mention for those particularly playing in the Euro Highlander scene.

This season will introduce koth_coalplant and koth_warmtic to the map pool rotation, if teams so wish to play them. Euro HL teams will be granted the option to play these maps instead of koth_ashville and koth_cascade, under mutual agreement. The page listing maps for this season will show ashville and cascade, as this will represent the NA, SA and Asia regions, however a comment will be posted on the match comms for the corresponding weeks reminding teams of the options available.

Esea had issues outside of its management (for the most part). Game is game... but the management begets some issues with rgl... (ugc too i guess for a few seasons but that was a while ago)

I noticed that the ultiduo section, when you try to check what teams are signed up I get an error. I wont have any issues submitting a new team request right?

The default play date is Wednesdays, if both teams and admin agree the match might be played on a different day.

Team sign-ups were broken before, should be fixed now, for support join the UGC discord, linked at the end of the article.

Currently Sar is still listed as a NA admin for ultiduo, however he said he isn't anymore. Phlogic is the only one, but I thought he was EU. Cant even get a team page for it approved to start, Bonesaw (only person who has responded on discord and able to help) cant do it. Just really looking for some support so maybe we can actually play our first match.
