I really like c4 mousepads, super fast and really cheap. They come from tiny to huge, and you can custom order sheets of the material if you want to say, cover a whole desk in teflon, like a madman.

I used to have a stupid mousepad that was basically sheet steel coated with teflon. Someone did this with one. It was a good size, and certainly avoided any potential warping issues.

anything from the qck family (qck, qck+, qck heavy, etc.)
puretrak talent/puretrak stealth
zowie mats (only heard good things about them)
artisan hayate (irl friend has one and holy shit is it an incredible pad, i'm considering buying one)

What are the differences of the various Artisan pads?

Hayate OTSU vs Hayate vs Raiden vs Hien vs ZERO

Shidenkai looks interesting as a glass coated pad but probably not my cup of tea.

Also the differences of Mid, Soft and XSoft

I'd also like an explanation about the differences in the artisan pads. Some research I did seemed to indicate that the Shidenkai was the fastest pad and since I love fast pads I decided to try it out. Before this I've been using a glass pad so that my mouse pad wouldn't wear out but the "glass coating" of the shidenkai seemed too interesting. It is definitely the fastest pad I've ever used (compared to glass, goliathus speed and the qck) The surface is sort of hard to describe, feels like cloth but if I run my nails over the surface they sort of scratch along the surface like a hard pad.

If anyone has any long term experience with the shidenkai I'd love to hear how it has held up.

Edit-oh should probably mention because it's not hard for anyone interested, the glass coating on the shidenkai does not mean it is a hard pad. It rolls up like any other soft pad just fine. It seems like either it's like a glass powder(or some other crazy option) or not really glass at all.

I have the shidenkai mid (tried shikis at lan and bought one) and can confirm that it is indeed quite fast, had to turn down my sens for it to feel natural. I've had mine for ~6months and tried cleaning it today but it was kind of tough to get all the dirt/grime off with just water. Since it was only available in white when I bought it, it gets dirty a lot quicker, but apparently there are also orange and black versions which are probably better in that regard.

QCK fucking sucks (yes i have owned one). I don't understand why anyone would buy a non stitched pad in 2017. Stitched pads last a LOT longer. They are more expensive but you will make the cost back in not having to replace it when the surface peels.
Some of my suggestions are ,
Zowie G-SR
Cooler Master Storm Swift-RX
Razer Gigantus
Glorious
Corsair MM300
Cougar Arena
Razer Goliathus Speed
Cougar Speed 2

qck+ limited edition is worth the few extra dollars that it costs. honestly not a big fan of the regular qck mousepads as they fray too easy and aren't heavy enough to stay put (at least for me).

qck+ limited edition is good. Regular QCK is trash. Top of mine started peeling in less than 2 months. Edge stitching is essential for longevity in cloth pads.

Qck+ is good until the edges start peeling up. I'd recommend a Corsair with edge stitching or trying lesser known brands on amazon.

A gaming grade mouse pad or mouse mat will provide consistent stability and precision.A high-quality mouse surface will promote fast, consistent cursor movement. This consistency allows you to develop muscle memory to “be one” with your mouse.Furthermore, a gaming mouse pad will facilitate accurate, quick movements during those times you need to shoot from the hip.

DM PAD L is better than qck, has stitched borders and is available at cheaper prices than qck
