it seems to be a problem with my old teams and when i play faceit etc.

I know that i'm with players that have good dm and not shit game sense but there are times where it seems that we lose just because our team is not in sync, may it be overextending or under committing. This problem usually happens when some shit happens and it's hard to recover.

As a pocket/medic main if frustrates me when i see my team isn't well glued together. now I know that the players themselves have to learn how to be together. but is there anything to do/say to help my teammate(s) that are out of sync and how to keep them that way?

Thanks in advance

Having somebody in comms kind of consistently setting goals of what you want the team to do such as trying to work a pick and also letting people know what the team is doing as a whole reels people in to playing together and dying less. In general though it just comes down to player discipline and understanding what it actually means if they die.

Also just talking about it with your team outside of games "like hey its really important that we keep numbers right here so we can have a solid chance of making something actually happen if we get a kill or something else to go off of."

Not gonna lie, it just sounds like your teammates are being brainless, and taking and executing decisions without fully thinking out the consequences. As a leader, you should probably go through some situations where their deaths due to overextending caused you guys to lose.

In faceit and "lower quality pugs", nothing you can do really unless you want to get in a flame war

From my experience, nobody uses comms in faceit (in EU anyway, possibly due to the language barrier? - can't speak for NA). This makes it almost impossible to build up synergy with your team, and makes faceit a pretty bad way of actually improving your team play, because the team with the best overall DM wins, not accounting for team synergy. For the proper 6s experience (i.e. people actually talking) I'd suggest pug/mixchamp or even TF2C.
