Bumping this thread, has there been any development regarding this variable? #26 mentioned it being used in the AU scene, I'd like to see how that has affected their game the past few months/seasons for them and maybe adopting it for NA.

Judging by some of the responses here already the opinion seems to be fairly unanimous that it should at least be looked at and tested. Why not try it in some pugs, maybe even the new map pugs that are testing the lobby system?

It would definitely make rollouts a lot smoother, and less prone to getting messed up by something that some people aren't really aware of. No reason not to at least test it.

I am really enthusiastic about this idea but if I could add one thing it would be to make this only for mp_tournament 1 servers. Reason for this is because you can do some fun things with afk players on pubs. Not a big thing tho, if it was implemented for all servers I would be thrilled.

We use it in EU it's just so much nicer. It's so annoying when teammates push you around and it adds nothing to the game if they're able to.

Regardless, failed rollout due to push away as you sticky jump has a much bigger impact on the game than the 1 in 1000 games where hiding sniper in heavy is actually useful and does something to change the outcome of the game.

What I'm seeing here is something which the rest of the world does, and likes, but not the NA scene and they want to at least try it. Why the hell not? If a group of invite players championed it would be in the next season for sure.

I made a thread on ESEA and it only got one comment from a guy who plays CS. I've made multiple IM's to Killing with this thread and he just didn't comment or even respond. It would be nice to get the backing of some invite players so maybe the higher ups would listen.

Disabled pushaway is a splash nerf. These instances are exceedingly rare though and occur WITH pushaway but disabling pushaway will allow this to occur more often. Not saying this is OP or anything but everyone should be aware. Also, as shown in the video, if you ace your rollout scouts bumping into you will not be a problem.

It would have been nice to show instances with it enabled and disabled to show the distinction with the two for splash damage.

If this is primarily for roll outs, disable the push away for the first 5-10 seconds of each round? Allow time for players to get out of spawn, and away from each other - but reenable it before they get to mid.

Just a thought, in case totally disabling the push away changes too many other things.
