ESEATF2 Open
Finals (badlands, snakewater, granary)

ESEATF2 Intermediate
Finals (snakewater, sunshine, product)

why

Its true, the IM playoff schedule is very strange. Whoever did the IM schedule completely forgot Gullywash for the whole playoffs yet double booked Sunshine and Snakewater in back-to-back rounds.

As for Open, they have an extra round because of more teams (16) so the maps can't be the same for IM and Open after the 2nd round. Still, they could have chosen better maps than those 3 for Open Finals.

It would be really nice if ESEA would consider moving past this silly way of map choices for playoffs. Just allow the teams to pick maps themselves using a simple Map Ban System during scheduling, it can't be that hard.

I'm not sure what you're expecting when even CS:GO doesn't have a map pick system for playoffs yet.

Did you just link me the exact same link I posted in the OP? =)

I am not really expecting anything from ESEA, I just said it would be nice.

what kind of playoffs system doesn't allow map bans

even ugc allows map bans (though they fix the third map in 4s and maybe 6s)

As a wise man (John Milter) once said, the only reason sunshine is always played for ESEA grand finals is $20 and a handie
